Hey community, I am Tomas Moška - co-founder and chairman of Turing Society, international non-profit organization, dedicated to technology education. Turing Society is educating people on coding & technology - around 500 people have completed courses to become junior developers in The Netherlands and Lithuania, thousands of people attended our events. All that by charging 10x cheaper courses than the market standard. We are 40 ppl+ organization, all working voluntarily to promote technology & education.
Turing Students Vilnius - a branch of ours - is organizing the largest Lithuanian Cryptocurrency/ICO event to date. We are running a big event on Thursday(November 2nd) for Cryptocurrencies and ICO's in Lithuania where Bank of Lithuania, Tax office, Parliament members, and community will discuss the common issues & regulatory laws. The goal is to know what is legal/what is not, how can we make a community befriend regulators and move Lithuania towards a crypto future altogether.
The event is 250 seats + 150 standing spots and live-streamed online with professional equipment (we expect 4,000+ views over time on the video). It is a panel discussion with networking event followed afterward. The event had all seats reserved within 8 hours from the announcement of the event. A great majority of participants are executive business people, local influencers, and the cryptocurrency community.
Participating in the panel:
Bank of Lithuania Advisor to Board Member Marius Jurgilas. She has the mandate to represent Bank of Lithuania’s position on Crypto.
Tax Office Two people - one from legal dept., another one from taxation. First time announcing their position publicly.
Parliament of Lithuania Tadas Langaitis - member of the Parliament of Lithuania, very active in Blockchain & Crypto community
Largest Lithuanian ICO to date Justas Pikelis, co-founder & bizdev of Monetha.io
Local community Vytautas Kašėta - organizes ethereum, blockchain meetups, is a large part of local cryptocurrency community, advises multiple ICO’s.
We would like to spread the word about Dash during the event. We'd like to:
1. print the roll-ups and place them visibly during the event
2. Post on a facebook event (~200 clicked going, ~800 clicked interested)
3. Tell about Dash & it’s growing community during the event.
4. We’re thinking of having a stand during our networking event for everyone to try out Dash & if once they create a wallet, send a few $ in Dash for them.
We’re asking for a community support to fund this event & the promotion - a support of total 2-3 Dash is really enough for us to bring the level up. We’d spend dash for the setup of the event area(lightning of the hall, stage, roll-ups), and networking event location.
If you would consider donating for the event - we are sharing a wallet address: Xt157haBShNftL4nnmeeAqyXKGUZ3HdsxS Any extra over 3 dash would be dedicated towards upcoming events, the roll-up we print would go to @Tomas (Uppercut in Discord - the epicenter of Lithuanian Dash community). Important to mention that none of the team members gets paid to work on such events - we’re a community-driven organization.
Thanks a lot!
