PC wallet problem

By migrating,am not quite sure what order he has done things, has he renamed the roaming darkcoin folder to Dash or just ran the dash installation program so he has a fresh dash folder? if so he should still be able to run the darkcoin program.
Does he have an original wallet backup? if so I would suggest as one option rolling back to a functional darkcoin and sending the coins to somewhere else and then deleting everything in the darkcoin/dash hidden roaming folders and reinstalling from fresh and finally sending the coins into the new fresh dash wallet.

And if his shortcut suggestion is inserting the commands ok then there are additional wallet repair actions such as:
-salvagewallet
-repairwallet

shortcut properties and 'target' mods:-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Darkcoin\darkcoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet
C:\Program Files (x86)\Darkcoin\darkcoin-qt.exe -repairwallet
