Hi

Just thought I'd start a general feedback thread on this topic since I'm doing it myself.

The first thing thats got me stuck is that when I launch dashd, a question is asked: Do you want to rebuild the block database" ? (or similar text). If I type "Yes" then the console goes kind of crazy and just displays millions of lines with the character "Y" on it.

Is it doing anything during this time ? Should I leave it alone or crash it ?

(Accessing via Terminal on the Mac)

had same problem in linux updating from v11 to v12
i uploaded dash-cli and dashd to server
chmod 777 both files
and first time i run : dashd -reindex
then everything runed smooth

let me know
 
Thanks for the tips studioz - I tried the dash -reindex option and that seems to have worked. It's up to block
324419 which is the latest. Also thanks to tungfa for the wiki link. From that I can see that I now need to do dash-cli getinfo instead of just dashd getinfo.

So the utility stuff is now a separate application ?
