Locked / Encrypted Wallet

I have locked and encrypted wallet (shows locked lock in lower right corner).

I would like to be able to unlock this wallet for a period of time while I send coins out of the wallet. Is there a way to unlock the wallet and send coins leaving the wallet unlocked for a period of time?

When I send coins out of the wallet should I be prompted to enter a passphrase...?

From the command line:

walletpassphrase YOUR_PASSPHRASE #_of_seconds_to_be_unlocked

so 60 seconds unlocked and passphrase password123:

walletpassphrase password123 60
