A new way to rain featuring education, contribution, and relationships: The Dash Nation #storm channel is about to launch!

The Dash Nation DFO offers the Dash community use of Dash Nation on Discord. Our main mission is to create positive, respectful and inclusive forums, and creating a top-notch community experience for all Dashers. With the high-quality technology you have come to expect from the Dash network, we also aim to provide that same quality with your interactions with other members of the Dash community.

To that end, we are proud to introduce the Dash Nation on Discord # storm channel!

How the #storm channel will work:

- Storms will happen at random times. Moderators will notify users that a "storm" is about to happen, and suggest a topic.
- Users will be given the ability to post, and the storm will begin.
- The suggested topic is only a suggestion, any and all topics will be allowed to be discussed in this channel. Newbie questions to learn about Dash are extremely encouraged. Don't be shy!
- Contribute ideas or thoughts, introduce yourself to your fellow Dash Nation peeps, ask any questions you have. Have fun, and be yourself!
- During and at the end of the session, you will get wet with a Dash rain shower for your participation.
- When the sun comes out at the end of the "storm", we will lock the channel to user replies again until the next random session.

We anticipate starting out with 5 "storms" a week, and see how they are received. Non-mods who would like to give out rain are encouraged to do so during the #storm! Thank you for your continued use of Dash Nation on Discord, or see link below to join. We could not make it the premier place for Dash communication and collaboration without your input.

Cheers, The Dash Nation DFO Team.

What is the goal of this? I can see the point of paying people for making tutorials, articles or videos but why you want to pay people for chatting?

Thanks for the question! This is simply a community-building exercise. Part of our goal is to create a top-notch experience for Dash community members. The #storm channel has just launched today, and the turnout and conversation was great! Newbies are encouraged to ask questions, people can submit ideas, or simply build relationships with other Dashers. And the experience was very fun as well. The effects from these sessions will extend far beyond its borders with people feeling more comfortable and contributing to Dash, IMO.

Dash Nation FTW!
