how long does it take to create a masternode?

I'm ready to do it

I have a friend coming in to assist, he lives far off. Roughly how long would it take to set an EC2 ? (if everything goes smoothish?)

following the directions, and if he understands what he is doing, no more than 1/2 and hour? If you're like me and get confused and double check things on the internet, etc... an hour to an hour and a half. Make sure your friend teaches you how to restart the server. About once every 3 months, Amazon may reboot their system, you'll need to restart. They give you an email warning of it though.

You can have a cron job to automatically restart the services upon reboot. No need to do it manually. Look up Crontab.
