Ethereum and Smart Contracts

What are your general thoughts on Ethereum and the whole smart contract movement? I noticed that Qtum is crowdfunding and has this also. Does this make the currency stronger or weaker? What does it mean for Dash?

My theory (worth all of 2 duffs) is that Bitcoin is being optimized to be a reserve currency, Dash is being optimized to be digital cash, and Ethereum is optimized to be anything. Each has its purposes and it is not a zero sum game.

AFAIK, Ethereum doesn't have formal verification yet.. and being based on javascript, it's kind of hard to imagine how they're going to do it.. but I could definitely be wrong.

Would rather have a coin with the Donar network, which includes all features of the Ethereal network and more. Promising tech no doubt
