@amanda_b_johnson raised a couple of very important points in her video today:

1. lack of instant send functionality on Jaxx mobile wallet
2. difficulty of using credit cards to purchase Dash

I'll set aside my surprise that she is only just now realizing these barriers to entry for new users.

Re: instant send -- I'm not sure if the issue is InsantSend, the Dash feature, or if the issue is really that the Jaxx wallet should be picking up the transaction as soon as it hits the mempool. Either way, I think @camosoul will appreciate that Amanda is taking up the cause.

How far away is a solution to this problem? Is this an issue for the Android wallet? @HashEngineering

Re: credit card Dash purchase -- this is a VERY difficult problem. There is a reason that it takes a very well-funded and well-connected company like Coinbase to solve it for Bitcoin, and even then, I don't think there will ever be a time when you can instantly set up a wallet and instantly buy Dash with a credit card. Here we need to set the expectations of users to a realistic level. The interfaces between fiat and cryptos will alway be fraught.

You can buy Dash with a credit card by using we sell crypto.com and then selecting your credit card of choice as first means of payment in your PayPal account. This is how I have done it. I know it is not direct and at we sell crypto.com they make you jump through quite a few hoops before you can use their service, but I think it is worth it! Hope this helps!

Dash has money to burn at the moment. I mean, a few hundred thousand USD a month should be able to sort this out...shouldn't it?

Ps: is anyone at Dash reaching out to the people at Coinbase to see if they will include us? It can't hurt to ask, as my mother would say! [emoji74]

I also encountered the weird 3-D security issue via the website changelly .com I had to call my credit card company and talk to a specialist there and then it was like magically taken care of. Weird but that is the banking system we are stuck with for the moment. This too shall pass…[emoji41]

:I roughly priced the flights and hotel for the event. We can access discounted rates for the hotel through the conference at $335 / night plus tax, and current prices on every flight are under $1,000 each (some under $500). Additional tickets to the conference are $1,300 including our sponsor discount, and we would require an additional two tickets beyond what is included in our package for all the planned attendees. Additional attendees would include Robert, Philipp, Holger, Fernando, and possibly moocowmoo and Andy (in addition to Daniel and Ryan, who are already scheduled).

Being European and understanding the fiat payments ecosystem it is very weird to listen to people who have never heard of 3D secure...

This is standard for most card transactions in Europe, especially Western Europe. This is 2FA for card payments and prevents chargebacks (3DS transactions are chargeback proof). If there is no 3DS then you can literally just call your card company, say it was a fraudulent transaction, and be refunded That is not ideal in any scenario, but even less so when you are 'selling' a different currency...

For European eCommerce processors, it is often obligatory for the merchant to process using 3DS...

That said, we process maybe 30% of transactions 3DS, but we always use 3DS on the first transaction from a new user - how else do you prevent card fraud?

@Benglian Thank you for this excellent explanation for 3D verification. Tah tmakes perfect sense! you are very articulate, btw. Looking forward to hearing more from you.

The Dash Wallet by HashEngineering does support instant send (since March 2016) and it also will display transactions as soon as they are sent.
