Dear Community Members,

The Dash core team is pleased to officially announce our new partnership with Transform PR, a public relations company with extensive experience in the cryptocurrency field. Transform PR has worked with many cryptocurrency projects, including Augur, Counterparty, Factom, GEMS, MaidSafe, Mastercoin, Neucoin and Storj, as well as the incubation of Ethereum at KryptoKit and the Ripple incubator. The Transform PR team is led by Michael Terpin, who also heads up BitAngels and is a leading investor and thought leader in the digital asset sector. Outside cryptocurrency, he has headed up PR initiatives for many established brands, including AT&T, America Online, Fujitsu, JBL, Konami, Match.com, Memorex, Motley Fool, Philips, Rackspace, Red Herring, and TEAC.

During the first three months of our partnership, Transform PR will seek to gain a high level of visibility in both the crypto community and the mainstream business and technology press, which is critical to driving new user adoption and demonstrating industry leadership. Their goals over the first few months include:

  1. Establish Dash as the first privacy-centric cryptographic currency that is based on Bitcoin software and addresses many of the problems of Bitcoin.
  2. Increase understanding of Dash’s digital asset and unique blockchain technology.
  3. Raise visibility around Dash’s technological achievements within the crypto community through a steady stream of news coverage, and begin to penetrate top-tier business and technology media through features and commentary.
  4. Substantially increase the visibility of Dash in blogs and/or Web searches throughout the three-month campaign, as well as in social media mentions as a result of this increased coverage.
  5. Increase understanding and demand for Dash, resulting in higher volume and price relative to Bitcoin.
The initial campaign, paid for by the blockchain through the decentralized budgeting process, will last for three months. At the end of this period, the Dash team will review Transform PR’s progress with respect to these goals. If the campaign was successful, additional campaigns will be planned and submitted for funding via the budgeting system.

About Michael Terpin

Terpin founded Marketwire, one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive international newswires. Marketwire employs more than 200 people and has annual revenues of more than $100 million, with offices on four continents. In early 2013, Terpin co-founded BitAngels, the first angel network for investors in cryptocurrency startups, which has grown to more than 500 members, completing two dozen investments. He has been a frequent speaker at leading technology and marketing conferences, including Ad:Tech, CES, E3, ETRE, NAB, PRSA and Social Media Week, as well as the vast majority of cryptocurrency conferences globally. He was a finalist in the 2000 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Terpin holds an MFA in Creative Writing from SUNY at Buffalo and a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Newspaper Journalism and English Literature from Syracuse University. He serves as an advisor to SU’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, where he was inducted into its prestigious Wall of Fame in October 2000. Terpin is also a private investor and/or board member for several privately held technology start-up companies, and he is chairman of the PR industry digital media company, CommPro Global. He is regularly interviewed by Bloomberg, Entrepreneur, the Wall Street Journal and other leading media, as well as writes about digital asset topics for Barrons, Forbes, CoinDesk and Cointelegraph, among others.

Dear Community,
It looks like the proposal to support Transform PR project might not be paid this month, which puts our partnership with Transform PR in trouble. This is very unfortunate as this specific project is considered by the core team as the most important and valuable part of the current and future Dash marketing strategy. We have never had so good press and exposure on the media like in the last couple of weeks, when closely working with Michael Terpin. Support and contacts offered by Transform PR are simply priceless for us (although we cannot reveal the details of the strategy as it would make it totally useless). I hope all of us could see the positive results of this partnership :).

Therefore I would like to ask you to support the proposal by voting "yes" on it:

Thank you in advance for your help.

Well. It looks like someone voted for the proposal (thanks) and the number of votes increased.
Not long time ago there was a message, that it will be founded "But it will not be included with next budget. This proposal exeeds the remaining unallocated budget of 17 DASH!".

It looks like the situation is very dynamic, so I would appreciate any vote, you could give for this proposal.
Thanks again.

is an option as well people! Don't simply vote because someone asks you, vote with what you think the money should be spent on!
It's either large ticket items like these, or smaller project based ones. Which imo are more measurable...

As is abstaining. That is why lobbying is such an important part of the proposal. kot is not asking anyone anything, he's making a case for a positive vote, in the same way you are lobbying for a negative vote.

How is a no negative? I am simply saying we should be spending our money wisely to maximize the budget and it feels like I ran into a wall of Terpin supporters. Still have yet to see any factual proof hes doing good work, just "trust us" they say.

See but in this sense a yes and a no vote are both equal, neither is positive or negative because it's just that, voting.

Don't try pitching voting Terpin out as negative, it's just democracy.

ex: proposal: "Lets shoot yidakee" - Vote Yes or No.

In this case, voting "no" has the most positive outcome, but voting "no" is still a negative vote on the subject. I'm not playing words here.
On the other hand I do find your choice of words a bit "angry" and outspoken?

Why not express your feelings without being at the brink of trolling and insult?

Because I am starting to feel like transparency and fairness aren't as important around here as I was led to believe. I'm calm, not trolling & supplying a fair argument. Whats the problem here? I was just saying it seemed as if you were casting a certain vote in a certain light, and you have quite a bit of clout being a foundation member, so maybe you should stay more or less fair in the middle?

What on earth are you saying there? And what does it have to do with this matter at hand? For reference, I did not renew my Foundation membership which I am almost certain has expired.

A bit of cloud for being a Foundation member? So you're calling me brainwashed because I willingly choose to be a Foundation member? And that my stance is biased and I should be neutral because I am foundation member?

May I honestly ask, what is you age?

I am saying that you should steer away from calling a no vote a "negative" thing. Do you disagree? Please make that clear. It's not negative, its a vote.
Interpret that as you please, thats my point.

My age comes into play why exactly?

Because it honestly does feel like I'm either talking to a smart old-teenager/young adult, or a very very sneaky fella who actually understands the art of troll.
I'm trying to ascertain which, and wouldn't want to be unfair.

Because your claims are profoundly immature in nature, as are your semantics.

Voting "no" on ANY ballot is, by definition, a negative vote.

A negative vote. Not a negative view, with nefarious intent. It's a "no" -> a negative vote.

You wish it was any of the those, sadly I actually just give a shit. Sorry!

I may or may not sound like a troll, I care not. I want this to be discussed and noone is doing it. So I will.

Equating voting "no" on something to being a negative thing make it sound like saying by not voting on the Terpin stuff people were doing the network a disservice.

Thats my point. Keep calling me a troll and ignoring it. Fine by me.

See now, this is where I find your posting "funny" to say the least. Because you are using troll-101 tactics. Now this may be unfair and be an unfortunate coincidence and you are just venting, but at the same time you are putting words with meanings that I never said - so please understand how fishy this seems.

1st - this is the first time I ever talked to you directly, I did NOT, like you say, "keep calling me you troll" - I politely suggested you're sort of acting like one, and trying to figure out if you are, or are not.

2nd - I NEVER said voting "no" was a negative thing, I even explained myself better with the "Lets shoot yidakee" post before. Yet you again try to steer my wording into claiming I'm trying to "negativise" voting "no" on the subject. It was you that claimed the "negativising" and kept beating at that bush. I politely just explained that "no" is a negative vote on a ballot - not a nefarious underlying significance.

3rd - you are not discussing. You started in this thread with a strong opinion - fine there - but then went offensive with the "terpin wall of fans" and about me being a foundation member and thus not capable of an unbiased opinion. Both of which are slander.

If it truly is fine by you, either present valid arguments and debate, or please refrain from posting. Both YES and NO and even ABSTAIN are perfectly valid opinions. Just please stop this current flow.

Fair enough. I agree this negativity is doing us no good, but I have been called a troll over 50 times in the past couple days for bringing this up, yet look at all the discussion happening now.

You are welcome. It's not a pretty job but someone has to do it.

Thank you for the sense and sensibility.
May I please just add, that it is your demeanour, not your opinion, that dictates the perceptions others have of you. It has nothing to do with this question at hand, and maybe a good time to reflect.

Here is an example. When the Solarminer and Camosoul proposal was way ahead with YES - I openly expressed my NO. I discussed straight against other team members. We argued and argued and argued and argued for our positions.

No one called anyone a troll.

Kot, thank you for helping to build this project. We have the best technology and best developers (and project managers!) in crypto.

Our current situation reminds me of a man in the desert who invents the cure for cancer, and wonders why the world isn't beating down his door to get it. People can't use what they don't know about, but that doesn't seem to matter. We will just stay here in the desert, building the best crypto on the market, and hope people find us.

Thank you for your efforts.

Thanks kot for your efforts.

Though I respect the vote of the community, i want to express my sorrow that we may have lost a good PR agency doing their job for us.

A early entrepeneur once said:
Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don't know which half.
John Wanamaker
I am a developer and quality management guy, and don't know much about marketing and PR, so I have to rely on others doing it.

And my perception of what we got was good, Dash has never seen such media coverage before like in the past weeks - and i've read a lot during the past 22 months I am working on Dash. We even had coverage in non-crypto media, which is the key for getting known outside of the geek&nerd world.

If the community feels that this is not the way to go I will respect that, but I think we are in failure here: half of the money was well spent.

Hopefully someone will pick us up in the desert :)

But why quit now? You have 3 days left. In my opinion if a detailed report of the results directly related to this proposal until now was presented to the community maybe the voting changes. If that kind of report exists then I just lack that info and what I said is irrelevant. Otherwise when 3256 are being spent on PR per month maybe the community just needs more transparency on this subject.
