Hello DASH Community!


I’m proud to announce that our “DASH Active Agents“ team will be issuing weekly reports on the advances of our project, starting this week. As presented in DASH Watch, all the first-month objectives of the project were met beyond expectations, by achieving:

1. The first stage of DASH On platform development: Starting this month, our programming team started development of our online platform, with plans of finishing our first beta by the end of October. Promotion of this platform has been actively pursued as well, promoting its future release in our social media and DASH events in Venezuela.
   
   
2. Development of DASH Active Agents strategy: In collaboration with MNO Deepblue, our team developed all the strategy and content relevant for DASH promotion by our active agents, following the guidelines defined in our proposal.
   
   
3. Promotion of the DASH Active Agents Program: In collaboration with DASH Youth Venezuela, we have started an active promotion campaign of the future Active Agents Program and the upcoming DASH-On platform in social media and DASH related events.
   
   
4. Induction of the FIRST cohort of Active Agents: we selected a set of our the active members of the DASH Youth Venezuela cohort. During the talk, our team provided them with the important strategies on how to promote DASH in their communities and social circles. It is important to remark that we aim to reach 500 talks by our active agents, which we aim to achieve with 100 active agents once our platform is live. Thanks to this initial induction talks, which we plan to continue in the upcoming weeks, we have reached 5% of our goal active agents almost two months before the release of our online platform

This first month has been successful and we’re proud on taking a big step forward in making Venezuela the first DASH Nation!

In this post, I’ll be presenting our second weekly update on the DASH Active Agents program, for the week ending in 10/14. I’m proud to announce the following advances from our team, where we achieved:

• Second Active Agents Induction Talk: This week, we held our second Active Agents induction talk, where we prepared and evaluated 15 new active agents. The support and interest we have received from the Caracas DASH community have been impressive, including alumni from previous initiatives, such as DASH Youth Venezuela. Because of this, we are proud to announce that we have effectively prepared 10% of the target number of Active Agents, more than one month prior to the release of the online platform. We plan to continue organizing these induction talks in a weekly fashion, with the goal of starting to organize Active Agents talks country-wide in the upcoming month.

• Induction Expansion: Our team is compiling a content expansion package, aimed to provide all the necessary content for potential Active Agents beyond Caracas. The content of this includes: infographics, procedures manual, talk contents, talk presentation, and additional resources (videos, useful links, etc...). Because of this, we are planning to organize online induction sessions, aimed to prepare and evaluate country-wide Active Agents. The content of this package is currently in its final evaluation phase, which we are sharing below in this post.

• Platform Development: Our team faced a couple of delays in the platform development, raised by the recent political and financial situation in Venezuela. Because of this, the development of our platform has been delayed for 2 weeks. To counteract this issue, we will delay the release of the platform to account for these delays. Our team is committed to the goal of reaching 500 Active Agent talks and organizing 12 weekly DASH trivias. For this reason, we will extend our period of operations for approximately one month, to provide an additional time-frame for these goals. Note that this only has an impact in the development of the DASH trivia, as our team has advanced the development of the Active Agents Program significantly, aiming to start operations significantly prior to the release of the platform.

In this post, I’ll be presenting our third weekly report, for the week ending in 10/21. I’m proud to announce the following advances from our team, where we achieved:

• Third Active Agents Induction Talk: Continuing with our advances in the Active Agent program, this week we held our third Active Agents induction talk. So far, these induction talks have allowed us to prepare and evaluate 45 active agents, which corresponds to 15% of the target number of Active Agents. Our team will continue organizing these induction talks weekly and we are actively advertising them on social media and events. Furthermore, we are making advances towards preparing active agents remotely, preparing webinars and tools (such as our content package) to integrate active DASH promoters around the country.

• Schools and Universities Induction Plans: We are planning an strategy to create promotion circles within schools and universities. To do this, we will be meeting with Student Councils and Student Representatives that will allow us to reach new potential promoters within these sectors. Our long-term goal is to prepare new active agents within the core of the student leadership, which will allow for a faster promotion within young social circles, and to massively promote the DASH On platform within these institutions.

In this post, I’ll be presenting our fourth weekly report, for the week ending in 10/21. I’m proud to announce the following advances from our team, where we achieved:

• Webpage Visits: Last week our official webpage, currently used to learn more about our platform and register for future induction talks, reached 10,000 visits. This correlates with the increasing support our team has received from the Venezuelan DASH community and the overwhelming amount of interest we have received from users all over the country.

• Fourth Active Agents Induction Talk: Continuing with the induction stage of the Active Agents Program, last week our team organized the fourth Active Agents induction talk. As of now, we have managed to prepare and evaluate more than 60 Active (20% of our goal number of Active Agents). Finally, our team has set-up a database for future induction talks, where we are nearing 100 potential Active Agents to be inducted in the upcoming weeks (our goal number prior to the platform’s release).

• Alliances: This week, we met with our allies from DASH Help Venezuela and DASH Merchants, where we discussed proposals to leverage the active agents program, as well as their platforms. Our goal is to involve merchants as well as users within the promotion process of the Active Agents Program, as well as directing our Active Agents towards the DASH Help Call Center if necessary.
