Darksend in test mode?

Am I not understanding Darksend correctly? I have the latest Darkcoin-QT running with the -test switch. The startup screen is orange and the client says testnet. I've obtained 1001 testnet coins from one of the faucets. I set the Darksend amount to 200 with 3 rounds. After clicking Start Darksend all the client does is sit there and say that Darksend is idle. Is Darksend available in test mode? Do I need to perform another additional step? Am I missing something?

Yes, you are missing that testnet is on pause since sunday, as the current test version has some issues:
