08 The requirement for Improved self reporting by proposal owners

This post will explain why self reporting tools could assist proposal owners give better quality update information. We currently have DashNexus which has a tab for Timeline however often times the information posted in these tabs is sketchy and lacking detail making it not of much value. If we are to continue to fund projects that have received funding form the DAO it is important that MNOs know exactly what has been delivered for the funds. This information needs to be presented in a systematic and logical manner in the same place that the funding request was made. In this way MNOs could see at a glance what progress has been made on their proposal and determine if the proposal owners is meeting the deadlines and objectives they said they would from their business plan.

The timeline section of Dash Nexus could be modified so that the deliverables could be formally recorded. These fields would be a compulsory set of fields that would need to be completed in order to submit a proposal. Some suggested fields in this section could include:

Date of deliverables.
Description of deliverables
Evidence showing deliverable was delivered.
Date evidence of deliverable was delivered.
A field showing if deliverable are late
Another field giving the reasons for the late delivery of the deliverables.

Timeline information on deliverables would be valuable to MNOs in order to quickly be able to size up if the project is delivering on what it claimed it would deliver. It also saves MNOs time searching different social media channels to see what the project has been doing.

Social media channels URLs for the project along with official website for the project should also all be available on DashNexus so that MNOs don't have to search around to try and find this information. Different teams have different preferences for social media and MNOs use up valuable time searching just to find the social media channels that the teams are using. All channels used by the team should be given during the proposal submission process.

MNOs typically do not have much available time to undertake project assessments and providing compulsory basic information on project progress is essential for MNOs to get a quick overview if the DAO investment money has been use in line with what the proposal owner promised.
