    Concern about distributed Masternodes

@Darren -- Yes, I believe that in a future version -- once Decentralized Masternode Shares are introduced -- that's exactly how things will function. One's stake will be directly proportional to one's vote. This is what Evan told me when I gathered information from him to make this episode...

    Lessons from Ethereum

Hi! Welcome. I'll answer to the best of my ability (anyone else, please feel free to chime in): 1 - Dash's 'contracting' ability is currently executed through its treasury. See this site to view all the budget proposals currently being funded or not funded from our treasury. The payment...

Bounty for an Apple App Store mobile wallet grows.....

Camosoul -- I believe you're off-base here. The Dash iOS wallet has been submitted to Apple twice now -- once last December (rejected), and once 20 days ago. The more recent attempt, made by @flare, I believe, is still 'pending review.' If it is rejected again, a media strategy is already being...

    The Elephone Mobile Wallet

I don't know what that is, but it's cute.

Proposal: Dash to Sponsor the Fifth Annual Jackalope Freedom Festival

Hi, all. I think this proposal is a good idea. It may be a bit on the spendy side, but I've seen much more ridiculously expensive proposals get passed with flying colors. Here is why I think it is a good idea: agorist-slanting libertarians have been *major* first movers in cryptocurrency --...

Want a Dash t-shirt? I'm selling them for 2 Dash each!

@Minotaur, I'm afraid I may not be able to attend d10e afterall :( , so if you'd like some swag, we'd better do it the ol' fashioned way.

Anyone have thoughts about smart contracts vs. decentralized oracles? If so, PM me. Research for vid

Hi, Rusty. Yeah, yeah -- by "decentralized oracles," I mean this video by Evan describing how masternodes can and should one day serve as oracles. This seems like it certainly serves at least part of the uses that people have gotten so excited about "smart contracts" for -- in that 7 or 10...

Anyone have thoughts about smart contracts vs. decentralized oracles? If so, PM me. Research for vid

Specifically -- is there overlap between the use cases of smart contracts (should they exist) and the use cases of decentralized oracles (should they exist)? If so, what are they? Does one require the other? Is one more potentially useful or promising than the other? Send a PM with your...

Want a Dash t-shirt? I'm selling them for 2 Dash each!

Anyone wanting a Dash t-shirt now -- Pete and I are selling them! They say "Dash Digital Cash" on the front and "Dash.org" on the back. They are only 2 Dash each, plus shipping. Sizes small through extra large available, and they have normal sleeves -- I just cut mine in the picture above...

Monthly Investor Report -- DASH: Detailed

Hi, all. Here's my first monthly investor report on how 123 Dash from the budget are being spent under my purview: SUMMARY DASH: Detailed (DD) has been in production for one month, publishing four episodes. During this time, subscribership to YouTube.com/DashOrg has increased by more than an...

Afterthought -- Sybil attacks are not possible in cryptocurrency, no? Because no reputation ratings.

Thanks, all, for your helpful and informative responses thus far.

Afterthought -- Sybil attacks are not possible in cryptocurrency, no? Because no reputation ratings.

A Sybil attack is defined as "an attack wherein a reputation system is subverted by forging identities in peer-to-peer networks." (via Wikipedia and accorded by other sites) Dash's masternodes aren't launched or paid based on peer-given reputation scores. They are paid if they have collateral...

Do you see value in categorizing proposals as "core" or "community"? Why/why not?

To me, the labels "core" or "community" are unnecessary qualifiers. I imagine they also bias the judgement process of the person or proposal being evaluated. People and proposals should stand or fall on their own merits, without group affiliations.

Do you see value in categorizing proposals as "core" or "community"? Why/why not?

Hi, everyone. I'm interested to know what each person -- especially masternodes -- thinks about proposals being categorized as either "core" or "community." Do you find value in this? If so, what is the value you find? And if not, why not? Thanks in advance to all who respond, and to...

    Integrating Dash payments with Shopify

@Robonova, yes -- integration with Shopify seems like a great idea. Perhaps it could be posted at http://www.dashnation.com/gigs/, initially get funded thru private bounty, and then after a few things like this are successfully funded that way, DashNation will start soliciting blockchain funding...
