    Qt-Wallet and a Bootstrap

The only problem with something THAT easy, is security. It's better to verify you're on the right website and check the PGP signature. But lets face it, they took that away on the website. I'm disappointed in that. With the way it was set up, you even had a link to where to check the...

    Qt-Wallet and a Bootstrap

Camo, by "normal person" I mean non-technical people who just want to try out Dash, but would walk away from the complications. Remember, we want adoption, no? And if there is no easy safety, Dash will not become a mainstream payment service. Even my sister, a programmer analyst, just wants...

    Qt-Wallet and a Bootstrap

I think what mangled is getting at is to have an option where the bootstrap downloads with the wallet installation files, and is installed without any more complicated user input. Finding the /user/appdata/roaming/dashcore folder, unzipping the bootstrap, etc... it's just all freaking scary and...

    What is Sentinel? (Masternodes)

Ugh, this question is not being answered, and that link is mumbo jumbo to normal people. Camosoul is jabbing at us, not you, just so you know, @purplegreenred :) He is being sarcastic :) I'm gonna give this a try, but it will need correction, because like most, I don't know exactly how any of...

I hate to be a Negative Nancy...

I'm surprised so many people are mixing already. That sounds good, like people are availing themselves of this feature more often now :)

ICE Total Gaming - London - Dash Presentation Today 7th Feb

Sorry, I couldn't resist the joke, and kind of meaning US invasion of Normandy anyway. My Uncle (Onkel Gunter) was captured by the Americans as he was in a machine gun nest. He was certain the Americans would kill him, but they didn't (he was only 16) I think the Americans saw these young...

    Worried...

I see it as one of those services that are added via api on top of the dash network by other companies, not by Dash itself. That's how I see it. I think that's also how the masternode service will work as well. People should have a choice. I'm sure some services will be on top of things...

    Worried...

I disagree here. I am certain that most snowflakes would prefer to deal in cash like transactions because they would be cheaper. However, when dealing in a big sale, when there is a lot of risk, I can see either party wanting to protect themselves with such a feature. I don't see how making...

ICE Total Gaming - London - Dash Presentation Today 7th Feb

Why are the planes on the left landing on otoh's island ? LOL They're missing London, hence will be late for the show! Seriously, though, is there any live updates? Will there be a video? Actually, they all look like they're headed for Normandy, is it an invasion?

    Worried...

Then again, arbitration services might end up being something that law firms provide, as they do now. It would probably be a market for choosing which company to do the work. This would mostly be useful when large amounts are being exchanged, such as buying a business or car, or something. I...

12.1 Testnet Testing Phase Two Ignition

I don't know if it's just that nobody is mixing, but my wallet of yesterday's build (Feb 3) wasn't mixing?? Updating now :) I've updated, and I keep getting timed out, so maybe nobody is mixing??

I think the real incentive is to get enforcement on ASAP so the miners can't keep all the rewards, which is what happens every time we spork and enforcement goes off.

    1. We should be able to move the blocks and chainstate folders to .dashcore from .dash. Nothing else takes that long to update really, and those other things might change or something, so that's what I'm going to do. Hopefully it will go smoothly. At worst, we'll have to -reindex, but with...

OK, so if any of you have an update script or something, like me, you will need to notice that these updates are now located at a different place. You can see it was updated on page 1. We are now on protocol 70206 and latest update is today (Feb 2) Just FYI because I know a lot of people lurk...

12.1 Testnet Testing Phase Two Ignition

I expect that running a MN in the not too distant future (3-5 years) will become increasingly complex as well as resource heavy. It'll probably cost us hundreds to thousands of dollars a month (well, later it'll cost thousands) In fact, that might be good because we'll probably have to get out...
