DASH Business Development Strategy Update - FEB 2017

@oaxaca I agree. I think maybe people are afraid it's not secure? We need to get Dash fully vetted on all grounds if possible. One question I have regarding this type of partnership is, wasn't this supposed to be what the DAPI is supposed to do for projects? Not that I'm against getting...

Dash has cancer, take a look at the xray...

I guess what I meant was that they can't spy on you on the blockchain if private send is generally used. Evan once had the vision where private send would be used on a basic level all the time. I do hope that that will come to pass someday. And I want that to come to pass because of fungibility...

DASH Business Development Strategy Update - FEB 2017

True this looks like a conflict of interest however instant send requires no risk. Regardless we need services like this to expand the use of Dash. As long as this is not the only company that we work with, I don't see a problem. However I am right there with you and thinking that instant send...

Dash has cancer, take a look at the xray...

One more thing I would like to add is that I follow the economist / philosopher Friedrich Hayek. This man was absolutely brilliant. And if you read his thesis on basically currency competition, you will see that true health for currency is competition which is what Dash Bitcoin and any other...

Dash has cancer, take a look at the xray...

I have only one question. Why is it that you fear Coinfirm? Why is it that you don't want Dash to participate with a firm that enables businesses to comply with KYC? I suppose this is a rule, Law, whatever, that you're hoping cryptocurrencies will erase. I can't say that I would mind that...

FB scam - fake Tungfa asking for payments

That's OK, I would probably have been more excited at the prospect of that being your name had I been male :D :D :D Nice that TheLazier was on top of that!

    Is "masternode" a good name?

Dash Core Team Q4 Call - rescheduled

Well, it is the 15th ;P LOL, I didn't realize there was a call set up. Could you please link to instructions on how to join in on the call? Thanks :D

    Qt-Wallet and a Bootstrap

Well then we disagree. I hope it's not a project killer for you, and that we can keep Dash up to your standards in other areas??

    Is "masternode" a good name?

LOL, you're overthinking it. It's the same as hard drives which are designated master/slave and have nothing to do with enslaving people, but simply a hierarchy. Real slavery exists today, I won't belittle it. But in this case it's an appropriate name. BTW, you do know that the title...

if mining ends what happens to masternodes?

Like lynx said, service fees will take over. Unlike other coins, I anticipate that Dash will be offering all kinds of services, which will earn the network coins. Those fees will continue to be recycled to the MNs and miners. What type of services? DNS? TOR - like decentralized exchange...

    What is Sentinel? (Masternodes)

You wanted to hurt a technical writer? Well, i guess I'm glad that proposal was voted down! I thought we wanted to hire one ;P (Oh boy, I can see getting smacked if I ever meet you in person ;P) Actually, we should try this again. It's important.

    What is Sentinel? (Masternodes)

flare just answered for me. Apparently there was a loop hole, but as of 12.1 it's closed: flare [1:28 PM] Since 12.1 masternodes require a public IPv4 connection - both IPv6 and Tor addresses can't be announced. The background is to improve connectivity and mixing experience.

I just saw @afreer answer Amanda, who basically just asked this same question, and found the answer very enlightening!

    What is Sentinel? (Masternodes)

I think we've discussed getting a security audit, and that it would gain a lot of support. Unfortunately, I don't have the skill to evaluate these questions. Worse still, how well is the code written? Remember Ethereum had that simple mistake where people could withdraw more than they put...

    What is Sentinel? (Masternodes)

I agree that there could be, as you say @marinf , a larger attack surface with sentinel. I have to understand the mechanics better to evaluate, and of course I'm a layman. But I do not agree that masternodes introduce trust into the system. Especially at the size of our network. In fact, it...

    Qt-Wallet and a Bootstrap

Oh god, you sound like my husband! LOL. Personally, I think making people responsible for the safety of their own money, which crypto requires, is going to be a fucking Mt. Everest to climb. You may hate the snowflakes, and I can't say that I blame you, but they are a necessary, an obligatory...

    Qt-Wallet and a Bootstrap

Camo, I have to disagree. Dash has everything to gain by catering to the snowflakes on the ground :) Just look at Paypal's new payment system. They made it easier by one click, and their adoption is through the roof. People want ease of use, period. And I'm one of the dashers who wants mass...
