Hushmail is considered compromised: http://www.wired.com/2007/11/encrypted-e-mai/ They also don't let you control the encryption. They can decrypt anything on their end and as we can see they do. If you need a throw away account though best to pick a free service accessed over Tor such as...

Well one can hope although it is important to be sensible on such matters. I have high standards and high hopes for DRK. If any coin takes on BTC it is DRK. I am sure of that. But consider how long it has taken companies to even consider BTC. It's a long process.

    The journey ahead

There is an awkward debate to be had at some point concerning why Bitcoin took off, namely darknet markets, and, of course, the fact that what DRK offers is even better. So should that be avoided or not is crucial because who would adapt this coin first if we are honest?

Not until we move past release candidates and see the open-source, etc. (and so copycoins). At some point RC drops and you just have Darkcoin. That's when it will be fun (and even more fun will be Darkcoin 2.0).

    The journey ahead

I think it is almost there. I'd love to see it 'let loose' soon just because at some point we need to see it tested in the real world. The tech is solid, Evan is a dream dev for any new tech and so the next step is seeing it in the wild.

ProtonMail, End-to-end encrypted email, based in Switzerland.

Ha yes, well I don't consider privacy to be anonymity exactly. If an 'adversary' like the NSA wants to pin you down then they will regardless of how you paid. However it really comes down to whether a site hosting your email would allow an adversary access to your logs and that is usually the...

I don't consider 2fa essential personally (for email, but essential for exchanges). But I know a lot of people won't use anything without 2fa. (However at the same time this is because I don't keep anything major on exchanges and I keep my emails spread apart across sites to minimise exposure...

Bitcoin Paypal – we just hit the mainstream!

The hacker is looking for 25BTC to dox so he does not have access to Satoshi's wallets (thank god!).

Very true, human error is the biggest issue. There's a tendency is us to take shortcuts sometimes. Is there anymore info on the Foundation? Would love to look at that.

Yeah same issue with hushmail and they did eventually help the police. No reason these won't except maybe on the basis the Swiss laws somehow protect you, but these devs are in the States...Bitmessage is current closed to new email signups. xmpp-otr would be good, but we remain stuck with the...

Follow up from 'Loosing Faith' ... List of things to have in place for the next RC ....>

This looks great. If you need help on the editing or (professional) writing side do let me know. I'm already writing a long series on the history of Darkcoin thus far and think my core skills here might be in creating material that spreads beyond the tech details. It is imperative that the...
