    v0.10.16 - Onyx v2

Have people successfully mixed on mainnet with version 16.6 (or above)? Just tried a fresh wallet.dat, but still am having the "last Darksend was too recent" problem. Any advice is appreciated. Also, I am assuming that only masternodes needed to upgrade to 16.11 so I am still on 16.6...

    v0.10.16 - Onyx v2

Having the same "last Darksend too recent" problem as well. No successful denominations thus far on 16.6...

    v0.10.16 - Onyx v2

Evan, will you update the liquidity provider to this new version? With the lower fees it is now more attractive to provide mixing liquidity.

    v0.10.16.x Testing

Thanks, one more thing though... do I understand correctly that the number if DS rounds per day is now limited to the number of masternodes? If so, then what stops someone from running a script to quickly use up the daily quota for everyday of the week they paid for and effectively DOSing DS?

Evan, how often is that 0.1 fee charged?

Darksend technical diskussion - anonymity, liquidity, improvements

This has changed. Here is the current idea (from Evan on BCT): "Solution 3: Pay per round of Darksend, in a separate transaction, paid directly to the miners as a fee. The masternodes would hold on to them and publish them later on. To double spend attack this, you would need to pay the miners...

Thanks. I think your plan is a good idea.

Darksend technical diskussion - anonymity, liquidity, improvements

Three thoughts/questions: 1. How exactly would this new fee --say, to the masternodes -- be enforced? 2. I thought the DS transaction fee was there not just to prevent Sybil attacks but also to ensure DS blocks get processed immediately by miners. I remember the days of 0.001 fees when RC4 was...

Darksend technical diskussion - anonymity, liquidity, improvements

Well first things first... paging eduffield Secondly, I don't know about issue 2 and 3, but I have a memory of issue 1 being discussed and resolved. Via the issue outlined in 1 have you successfully traced coins through Darksend?

    Evan's InstantX Demo on YouTube

Exactly. There is no reason to give opponents and FUDers more ammo by going closed source when without a trustworthy MN network copying and pasting the source is useless.

    v0.10.15 - Onyx Release

Well to a certain extent it has prevented smooth development since May so I predict, YES! Currently, every time that "non-cheatable" enforcement has been attempted (4 times by my count) it has led to forking. Unless something is changed there is no reason to think that there won't be a 5th...

Darkcoin is more centralized than we think?

This... +1 @OP Evan already explained that these nodes are ONLY for ensuring even payments (payments are random if the node is down or compromised) and controlling them gives you NO advantage over the network. Furthermore this will be improved later. The discovery here is an issue that has...

    Onyx Release & Mining Pools

You may be right, but in this instance the problem seems to be with Darkcoin -- as even the pools that are quick to update are have still having issues...

    Development Update - Oct 1, 2014

Excellent idea! I am completely for raising the masternode percentage if there is a trustless way people with less than 1000 DRK can get involved.

I don't have anymore time to spend arguing. Anyway, seeing as Evan seems to have already made up his mind -- I just hope you are right!

    Development Update - Oct 1, 2014

I don't need a time machine. I bought my first DRKs in February and have plenty of them. Given that, I "should" be supporting this plan, but I think it is very likely to hurt the coin -- badly. As for the tech... coins can be forked. You can't just "do whatever" and expect people will still...

You must be intentional missing the point. None of this is about who has more money or capitalism/communism. Let's stay away from strawmen. The point is the system must be fair and it be perceived as fair. Forcing anybody who didn't pick up 1000s of DRK in the the first few weeks to buy at...

    Development Update - Oct 1, 2014

You are right about MN network being better at network security. Thing is, I wasn't talking about network security. I was talking about coin distribution. You forget that POW is about TWO things... one is securing the network and the other is fair distribution. Security shortcomings aside, POW...

    Development Update - Oct 1, 2014

In terms of anonymity or processing transactions no they are not centralized, but in terms of coin distribution yes they are. I'd guess that 400-500 people are running the masternodes and they are obviously already wealthy with DRK... whereas I'd bet several thousand have connected a worker and...

Interesting.... This "reward", are you talking about the block reward or the MN payment percentage?
