Why would anyone possibly want an ASIC resistant coin? GPU is noisy, hot and expensive to power. Cryptocurrency is supposed to be 'the future' and I think the technology should be too. As long as they create ASIC hardware that's affordable for hobbyist I only see it as the right way to go.

I've seen some hardware talk in the 'Mining' category, but it's mixed up with CPU mining and other general mining conversation. It would be great if there was a category strictly for non-CPU Darkcoin miners.

Davep, that's domain squatting. If it was darkcoinWORLD.co.uk or something like that then it would be fine, but you registered a trademark name to make a profit. That domain should only be available to the creators of DarkCoin and if you had any ethics you'd transfer it to them at cost.
