    V12 Testing Thread

I just picked the most notable article about crypto the day I launched Dash. There wasn't much to pick from!

Sure, the only limit to the system is the amount of memory we have available. But then again, we have a 2-tier network... so we can just require beefy masternodes.

Single masternodes can't lock any transactions. First they have to be assigned to a quorum the task of reviewing a transaction, as part of that quorum they can lock 1 transaction. So for example, if there's 3000 masternodes and 3000 transactions , that means each masternode on average would take...

Someone is restarting 100 masternodes atm. I saw them drop a few minutes ago. That will break IX :)

It's currently 60 minutes, then it clears the lock. I want to change the way that works in 12.1 though, so it will keep the lock until 6 confirmations. We could have a pretty big backlog and the transactions would still be safe if they were IX confirmed with that in place. That's probably the...

Yep. Unless you see the green clock without IX, then it's somewhat less safe.

I take it back, my stress test did get checkmarks (block confirmation) while I was testing: http://test.explorer.darkcoin.qa/block/00000012dfa9c69e71b939ce14e1f3cd70ed1ea6c3fc45bcafd1c38db979e538 http://test.explorer.darkcoin.qa/block/0000000c330cd5a767d70d4ff37b326fd39597e88bd46dce2ec902e111858d2e

Fun huh? It's really satisfying to see it work 300 times in a row in 30 seconds

The green clock means the inputs got locked up and are safe from double spending, the check mark means the transaction was included into a block. So there simply was no block event on the network while I was testing.

Your proposal looks fine, there's some issues with .33 that I'm still working on causing payments not to go out.

I'm working on .33, there's a couple issues that I'm still trying to resolve. I'll post when it's complete

I'm definitely not opposed to what you're saying there, if the money is available we should use it. I'm hoping the budget system is the real answer to decentralization, because I can't personally control what happens and this system should function on the "wisdom of the crowd", which is usually...

v0.12.0.32 - Masternode testnet budgets are now non-inflationary, max budget per 50 blocks is ((nSubsidy/100)*10)*50, or 25 DASH. - We'll need to remake all of our budgets, please don't make any budgets above 5 DASH so we can have a few working at the same time - Budgets commands have changed...

There will be no inflationary effect on mainnet, when there's 1 set of superblocks per month totally 8000 DASH or less. The effect on the coin generation will actually be deflationary. These superblocks are allowed to happen 10 times a day right now, however on mainnet they will be once per...

moli, could you download the new version and see if it freezes on shutdown? I had to revert an earlier change that fixed that originally, but it doesn't seem to be causing issues anymore.

    Instantx questions

So when you propagate a message to your peers on the Dash network, you basically say "Hey, I have this new item in my inventory". Say you send it to 8 peers, afterward they each send the inventory to the peers they're connected to and so on. After a few hops, the whole network will have been...
