What sgminer version do you use?

I have been using x11-Sgminer 4.1.0g for months now, and I have been reading that there is a 2% or more fee that gets sent out to the author. Can anyone give me any information on this, or is there another older sgminer that you would recommend? It seems like the newer sgminers (5.x) do not...

    Mining with free electricity

Hydrogen fuel cells were really cool to test, as I would be part of the "small scale" design and I was assigned to build them from scratch and put them on the test stand and collect data. You would not believe how much current just one cell can generate. Then to stack them up on a large scale...

    Mining with free electricity

Very interesting reading. I used to live in upstate NY for 25+ years, and I believe we had the same type foggy, cloudy cold weather similar to UK, then I moved south where the weather is great, it's always sunny here, just a little too humid in aug (which effects solar cell power output in a...

    Mining with free electricity

This subject has been on my mind for months now, as it is so frustrating (GPU mining limitations). I own 1.1 Acres of land, which is a long rectangular piece of property with lots of trees behind the house. Roughly half the property is grass, the rest are trees going downhill from there. I...

    MPOS DarkcoinTalk's Official Pool Thread!

Could someone explain to me how payouts are handled? I have been mining, mostly in the same pool for almost two months, and there will be days I get 7-8 transactions per day for a few days (same hash speed, running consistently ~42Mh/s), Then the next day, one payout, usually not much. I've...

    Mining with free electricity

Operations with using your own electricity will be a loss, however, if share price goes way up, it could be a win is the way I'm looking at it... I wish I had free electricity, then it would be all very worthwhile.

    A warning to you all.

I'll tell you what, this hit home hard, and I don't even know you stone, but I believe when you hit the rock bottom like you did, that's when you ask for Gods help. And sometimes when you are in that valley, the only way is up from there and then to the mountaintop. I was involved with some...

Sgminer 5.1.0.2-gf27f (ubuntu), question about hash rate

I did a complete overhaul and used wolf's bins, switched to win7, and am also running at average, 5.4Mh/s also! I spent so much time with ubuntu, and I just couldn't afford the time to set it up, I have two systems running right now at 45Mh/s, but still not really making anything lol....

    AMD R9 290x or GTX 970...

I'll post a pic of one of my rigs when I get time, I used a customized sort of 80/20 design from this guy, and I have to say it was difficult to put together because I was modifying so many things, and trying to understand the software/hardware, Ubuntu/windows/which sgminer to use then out came...

no, I had no idea, thanks a lot for this info, great idea!!! I'm getting it right now, these aggravations are wearing me down..!! I have got to check the bios on this Asrock, that's the thing, I kind of like the bios on the asrock compared to like a dell or something, but I think that with...

    AMD R9 290x or GTX 970...

HAHA! Unfortunately, I had this grand Idea that I would use 4 of these boards to power 4 new rigs, and now, I don't think I have the stomach for it any longer...!! Also, I noticed that same motherboard has different revs, as I have seen the main 12x connector locks different, and so forth, so...

Actually I have two rigs, one is an asus X79 Sabertooth i7 (which works like a charm by the way), which I could indeed drop that CPU voltage down. On the other rig, (which gets the same hashrates, but is a royal pain the bucket) is the ASrock BTC dual core! (51 dollar board). I have become an...

wow, that is great!! I will definitely try that voltage drop, efficiency is everything, even the fans you use can suck up quite a few watts I have a lot of ideas in my head, that may sound crazy, but I was thinking of actually capturing all of the heat under a hood (like a chemistry good) and...

I could never get any of the 5.x sigminers to work with drk,and on win7. Has your rig ever worked, and if so, what is your motherboard? Do you have the following in the executable at the top: setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 Also you may want to do a complete driver...

It even seems to run cooler, this statement is not based on fact, but I remember I was heating the whole house up with 2 rigs, now not bad. However, wattage draw seems about the same..??
