Ongoing DDoS attack on masternode network

No, because it makes no sense. It could just as easily be translated to 0/0/100. Because the node will either get paid, or it won't.

Ongoing DDoS attack on masternode network

No, it's not. I consider every one of them a REQUIREMENT. No. IF the node supports all protocols, THEN pay it 100 ELSE pay nothing.

Ongoing DDoS attack on masternode network

My vote would be every node must support IPv4, IPv6 and Tor, or not get paid at all. And voting with numbers is bullshit.

Ongoing DDoS attack on masternode network

@demo No, your "solution" is the one that is needlessly complex. All nodes must do it all, and all wallets and backend services must support all connection types. That way we have a real bulletproof fail-safe for, well, anything short of turning the internet off.

Would you recommend a new user learn Bitcoin before Dash?

They should learn bitcoin, but they don't necessarily have to use it. All those stuff about private keys, the blockchain, transactions, mining, is knowledge one must have in order to understand how crypto works, what are the risks, and how to mitigate them.

Ongoing DDoS attack on masternode network

That's brilliant! Not only we will be reachable by whatever protocol the user wants, we will have a much stronger, sturdier network. Also, should any jurisdiction try to ban the use of Dash, it will be immediately circumventable. That option alone will serve as a deterring factor...

Dash Video Casino, over 300 DSH in Jackpots!

Maybe I'm just not "smart" enough to get it, but...

Focus on your day jobs and on improving your skills, instead of writing walls of texts about how to change a crypto you barely know. Why are you wasting your time if you've only got 4h to sleep? If Etherium is more profitable to mine, just mine Etherium. When it comes time to spend it, if you...

    Pre-Proposal: DASH telegram bot

This is the stupidest thing I ever heard someone intelligent say. I'm talking about Bill, by the way.

Maybe I'm just not "smart" enough to get it, but...

@BobDamage I assumed you had taken the time to what differentiate Dash from Bitcoin and other cryptos, but it doesn't seem to be the case. You are obsessed with mining, and haven't even once mentioned or recognized the elegance and balancing effect of collateralized masternodes, and showed no...

Ongoing DDoS attack on masternode network

This wouldn't help in the slightest, since every node (and hence everyone) would still have a list of all masternodes and ports.

best wallet to recommend to new user?

You can get started in any wallet. AFAIK Dash Core is currently the only one that has mixing, coin control and instant send. (though arguably IX isn't very useful right now). Popular options are Coinomi or Jaxx for mobile and Jaxx or Exodus for web.

Can't detect valid external address - unable to start MN

I can't help any further. I would upgrade to 0.12.1.3, upgrade sentinel, and retry everything again, maybe even send the Dash to a new address and regenerate the MN private key. If it doesn't work, e-mail [email protected] with relevant debug logs and diagnostics.

    Transaction too large

You can try to consolidate those smaller inputs yourself if you don't mind losing a little anonymity. Alternatively, you can mix some more dash to get larger denoms inputs and transfer 1k within the transaction size limit.

DASH WILL NEVER BE SUCCESSFUL if it does not solve this Problem

The analogy doesn't break down, because even being infinitely divisible doesn't make a currency inflationary. There are no new coins being emitted (for the purpose of this discussion), so no one is losing relative purchasing power.

DASH WILL NEVER BE SUCCESSFUL if it does not solve this Problem

No, I think you are misunderstanding things... If gold, for example, becomes so valuable that for everyday transactions (assuming we used gold for everyday transactions) people started trading in miligrams of it instead of grams, it doesn't mean that there was inflation. Whoever owned a gram of...

Can't detect valid external address - unable to start MN

Hum... now it's reporting watchdog expired. Are you running sentinel? Does it give out any errors? Is it called successfully every minute on cron? Edit: Added image

Can't detect valid external address - unable to start MN

Everything seems to be in working order. Dash Ninja even reports your port to be open, I don't know what could be the problem. Why don't you give it another try? @UdjinM6
