    Governance question?

It (voting) won't be this much of a problem if the shared service has multiple nodes. PS: As for the risk part, it can probably be resolved with smart contracts...

    Governance question?

    No required Colatteral (C) Receives Rewards (R) No Equipment costs (E) Can Vote (V) Users +C -R +E -V Miners +C +R -E -V MN -C +R -E +V 2 advantages, 2 disadvantages for each, seems pretty ballanced to me

    Governance question?

I knooow! Maybe you view standard corporations as the CEO doing whatever he wants, but that is not the case for most corporations. Not the larger ones, at least.

    Governance question?

Well, but what is stopping the Core team from ignoring the will of the Masternodes and making decisions unilaterally? There isn't that much of a difference, don't you see?

    Governance question?

You have a point there. All the board of director does is vote on decisions and tell the CEO what goals he needs to achieve. But never mind. Just pretend I said Organization instead of Corporation if it troubles you.

    Governance question?

Well, yes. If it's just a line of code on Evolution, I say do it. But if it would delay more useful features for more than a week, I think it can wait. IMO we need users more than we need investors. When you buy a mousetrap, you want the most cost-effective, efficient trap, not the crappy one...

    Governance question?

InTheWoods It does work like a corporation. The MN operators are the board of directors. They can overrule or replace CEO's and do all kinds of neat corporation stuff.

    Governance question?

I didn't say it wouldn't be useful, I said I don't want to allocate development time on it at this time. I started to write here about my Darksend experience, but deleted it, since I feel it would just derail the topic. Let's just say I need Dash to work like cash more than I need it to work...

    Governance question?

See see your point. At some point in the future someone could have $100.000 worth of Dash, but no right to vote. But I don't want developers to waste time on a problem that we might have in the future instead of focusing on the functionality that will actually make that thousand dollar Dash a...

Dash Vs. Bitcoin Video (poll) proposal

Who would produce the video? How much would it cost? Agreed! Poll for video objectives; tone down on attacking Bitcoin directly, focus on informing about Dash in relation to bitcoin and altcoins. Yes, could be one of the options, but then again, if we don't show how Dash is different from...

Can there be an anonymous smart contract on the Dash network?

My guess is there are already good established platforms / chains for smart contracts. Dash is not supposed to do everything, when Dash is widely accepted as digital cash, we will see more sophisticated third party platforms / applications that use it.

Sorry, I saw the interview and wanted to post about it. A couple minutes later I saw it was in the news section, but I can't delete the thread! :-(

How to strenghten Dash's Voting System

Forced voting is very stupid IMO. Operators who aren't interested in voting will just vote YES / NO / RANDOM in every proposal in order to get paid and this will screw up the voting process. Not voting is already a vote to abstain. The MN collateral is a sizable amount of money, I think...

    Paper Wallets ?

This is not an online generator. You could just as well copy the html page and images and run it in on your disconnected computer. And if you fear the paper being stolen or seized you can just encrypt it with bip38.

    DASH/BTC on Openledger decentralized exchange

In openledger you can trade in every conceivable pair, just go tho the ALL MARKETS tab and type the desired pair. It just so happens that some pairs won't have desired liquidity, some won't even have any orders on the book. I for one like the web wallet. It is not possible to withdraw USD (it...

    Dash + Nubits forum invitation

Merchants, tourists and shoppers who know they must spend a certain amount of fiat in a limited time frame don't want to suddenly be unable to afford it due to market fluctuations. If there was no demand for it, NuBits wouldn't exist (then again, Litecoin is still with us...)

Hosted Masternode as a prize for Miami - lucky paper wallet

I agree with Solarminer. A MN is not something that will appeal to most people. I don't think showing the benefits of being a MN operator is a good marketing strategy, since most users will never be one, even if they all wanted to. I liked the idea of a race. Maybe the prize can be a hardware...

    Dash + Nubits forum invitation

Yes, but how exactly would conversion take place? I just don't see it being done without an exchange (maybe the NuBit community could explain it?). And what if at some point in the future, the interests of NuShare holders conflict with those of MN operators? How are you suggesting we merge voting?
