Yes, this is the current list of working servers. Originally I had an idea to incentivise somehow server creation and support, but at the moment this is not possible due to budget reasons.

While dissing ElectrumX would make my life easier, I don't think this is a good move from architecture viewpoint. In this case, having an extra layer with the explicit goal to provide interface for Electrum wallet is good. For example, we can introduce changes in ElectrumX w/o core team efforts.

I do. That's why I finance the project deficit out of my pocket. But people have to pay their bills in dollars, that's why if we want the team to continue to work on the project, we have to stick to the budget.

We, Dash Electrum team, work on updates for ElectrumX and Dash Electrum necessary, to support 0.13 release. If everything would be ok, we will release updates the same day as 0.13 would be deployed onto mainnet. Note: Dash Electrum server maintainers would be required to upgrade ElectrumX.
