    MNOWATCH-HOSTING-2023

We appreciate any and all votes we get. If we get funded it will help with costs of running the service, eg hosting and domain name rego. Both of us are dedicated to moving the site forward bit by bit and I am really excited about supporting Evo and making that more transparent when it comes. :)

    DCG Q2 2022 Financial Statements

Yeah, I don't think we will be able to turn those unrealised losses around though. Fed Res raised 75 basis points and gave hawkish forward guidance, BOE just did the same today, biggest increase in 33 years. impact? A global margin call as risk assets, that's stocks and real estate fall as...

Reduce the proposal fee to one dash

Yeah, good observation! I think the people that were upset about lowering the proposal fee just wanted to hold Dash back and make it an elitist coin, not sure, maybe they were just stupid. Given the price of $40 however, I don't support lowering the fee any more, maybe we can consider it when...

    Should we QUIT platform-evolution?

My reply was regarding how to run the Platform on the masternode network, ie not on every masternode, but rather as a opt-in model. However, I agree with everything you say about Platform, it has been a massive expense for DCG and the value likely won't be there. Funding for it should be much...

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

Abstain is necessary because once you vote Yes or No, you cannot undo that vote, so Abstain is the only way to negate your vote at that point.

    Should we QUIT platform-evolution?

Here is the link the OP tried to post. https://powerofus.substack.com/p/interview-with-annie-duke-on-quit and No, I don't think we should walk away from Evo, instead, I think we should run it on a small portion of the network and allow the rest of us to concentrate on the main thing, digital...

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

Please stop with these threats, Dash is not a security and any final decision on how the network re-configures to support Platform will be down to a network vote.

Dash, nor any of its subcomponents, can allow Censorship of any kind.

I agree, there can be no censorship in Platform, if the devs don't have the stones to code an open system that can be used in anyway possible, then they better code it up so it is impossible to store large amounts of arbitrary data.

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

Calculations were already given to us by virgile and QE, but you can imagine how it would work if you have a network of say 1000 1k nodes and one whale with say 100 nodes and everyone else is much smaller, if then you wish to create a new pool of evo nodes also at 1k Dash and that pool size will...

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

I agree. It looks like a single entity to me too and as yet an unidentified one. We are, I plan to analyse the data and identify this cluster.

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

You're wrong. We've already shown you how requiring a large collateral size makes it impossible for large stake holders in Dash to form a majority in the Platform pool which would be bad the very definition of centralised. Yes, we can. The power of the nodes will always be dictated by what...

    KuCoin deposits requiring 10 confirmations

MNOwatch has a page that lists every OP_RETURN ever created, what can you find in the data, anything illegal? :p https://mnowatch.org/history/

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

Another factor I did not mention is that we need to think about how much value is to be secured in Platform. I did the calculation somewhere else, but the payment cycle on Platform is every 18 days and every MN gets paid at the same time, so just before payment Platform will hold almost 7k Dash...

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

Sporks are being slowly removed and DCG is working on code that will allow us to hard fork in the future without the need for the sporks, so they are working towards that goal, there's just so much other work to do and constraints on what can be done.

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

I will be voting on the 10k option as it poses the best outcome for us from a poor set of alternatives. Some people on this forum seem to think that the 4k and 10k solutions would be more centralised and I must admit I thought the same at first until I really thought about it. The reason why...

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

haha! Of course you do, because you run a hosting service, so you are the one that will get the most profits when every MNO has to carry the burden of higher hosting costs and lower ROI with the 1K solution, meanwhile nothing but premium vacations for you in the south of France!

    What is proof-of-service?

I am not sure what you are trying to say here? Is it that you don't believe a secondary market will emerge between the two pools and MNOs will move between them in order to maximise their returns? Because if so, this would be the first time time someone that saw free money on the table and did...

    What is proof-of-service?

Firstly, the low fees charged by AllNodes is due to the fact they only store one or few copies of the blockchain and run the nodes on individual clusters that host many nodes on the same hardware, ie centralised. The price can therefore be driven down and just $4.5/month hosting fees is...
