Increase Dash fee rate by 10-20x ?

Thanks for that, MNOwatch is not stuck, but rather captures the network state from time to time and displays it as of that date. So, the page will always be not the 'live' version of the network. The events that trigger an update are any collateral movement on chain.

Increase Dash fee rate by 10-20x ?

I like the manual setting, because there some possible downstream effects, eg maybe exchanges or payment processors need to update some scripts. Also, I don't think we need to adjust this parameter until it is 'out' by an order of magnitude like it is now, so rather than fine-tuning, this rough...

Atomic Wallet has been hacked, if you have Dash or other coins there - withdraw ASAP

I share many of the same concerns of the Dash Credit Pool,l namely from software errors, it will be trust-less in the same way our UTXOs are trust-less on the Dash Blockchain, but it will be a honey pot that I am sure hackers will try to drain, as for rogue devs, they would have to slip in the...

Dash Core Group announces first v19 chain halt

Just an FYI, the evo folder was introduced more than 4 years ago. https://github.com/dashpay/dash/tree/v0.13.x/src/evo It's even in the Pivx project. https://github.com/PIVX-Project/PIVX/tree/master/src/evo Hopefully this dismisses the myth that the bug is directly related to the upcoming...

    Testnet masternode problem

In case the IP you want to use is already registered, you need to choose another port number, may I suggest 12345? Now register your masternode with that IP and new port number and in the dash.conf add the following two lines at the end of the file! [test] port=12345 Restart the dashd and...

Increase Dash fee rate by 10-20x ?

Dear Dash Community, As you know the Dash price is currently in the toilet hovering around $40-$45 and Dash transactions fees are denominated in Dash itself, currently set at a fee rate of 0.00001 per kilobyte, this is one Duff per byte. With the price so low that means that a TX similar to...

    Testnet masternode problem

Make sure the Owner key is unique and not used anywhere else, also make sure the bls key is new. To create new ones use bls generate and getnewaddress.

DASH Masternode Zeus (replacement for dashman)

Hello, so you said you had a previous working masternode on old server and migrated to new server? Did you copy the BLS key from the old server and enter it into DMZ when the prompt asked for the key? This would explain why it can't find the masternode.

Dash Core Group announces first v19 chain halt

I mean the BLS upgrade was originally slated for the v20 upgrade along with the Platform activation code! But thankfully, QE insisted it be brought forward to v19 and clear the path for a slightly less complex v20. I am satisfied with this approach and as I said before, I am fine with the...

Dash Core Group announces first v19 chain halt

Qwizzie I am start to detect hessitation from yourself and others in the network on future upgrades, we must work to avoid being like Bitcoin and becoming too scared to ever attempt an upgrade again. I would also like to point out that v18 (quorum rotations) and v0.17, v0.16, v0.15, etc etc...

Receive & send tips in Dash ― Tipmedash.com

This is something I see a lot of in Dash and frankly it is a major drawback of the DAO. I wish people just developed their own things because they love to do it, they are interested in the coin and supporting the network, there are a few that do this, like myself and Demo and Kodaxx and others...

    pre-proposal: tipmedash.com - a fast & fun way to tip online

Oh yep, I see them too, that is surprising somewhat, but again the proposal was poorly worded, I would have expected abstains rather than actual NOs.

Dash Core Group announces first v19 chain halt

I really wish you would try to stick to the facts, the BLS serialisation issue not part of the platform release and was not required for Platform to go live, it is a nice to have, but not strictly required. The HCMN had nothing to do with this issue.

    pre-proposal: tipmedash.com - a fast & fun way to tip online

I saw 10 NO votes come from Crowdnode, I am surprised by that. Overall, the proposal did not pass because I think it wasn't clear enough. I did ask the PO to make it a binary decision so he could determine if the MNOs prefer to pay for upkeep only, or upkeep AND additional development. The...

Dash Core Group announces first v19 chain halt

Point of clarification, the halt was not related to the HCMN update, it was related to the upgrade of the BLS serialisation. Also, since the voting is done across the P2P network it was never disrupted at all and mnowatch caught every single vote during the freeze. :p...

Dash Core Group announces first v19 chain halt

So unfortunate and frustrating for you, it was not my intent to add to that, so now I feel bad that shit shook out the way it did, but yeah, if you want to return let me know because new accounts with low karma tend not be able to post at first either.

Dash Core Group announces first v19 chain halt

@qwizzie I am sorry to see you leave the r/dashpay subreddit, the moderator u/basilpop just consolidated threads into one and reposted your comments there. Can you recover your account? It looks like it was deleted entirely.

What does it mean to be centralized?

I thank you for your previous donation to MNOwatch, the work we do there is to learn more about this network and your donation helps in that regard. Your concerns over centralisation are however unfounded and the alternative ( I presume you are a proponent of every node runs evo? ) is...
