Checking out some DASH DAPPS by DashMoney 👀

A developer @DashMoney has recently created a few DAPPS on testnet that we check out in this thread. All you need to get started is your mobile phone, or PC browser and some time. The first thing to do is to create a wallet and fund it. The DAPP that you use to do that is...

DELETE Signal - What and How?

    Yes! You remember correctly! https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/master/src/governance/object.cpp#L719-L720 int nAbsVoteReq = std::max(Params().GetConsensus().nGovernanceMinQuorum, nWeightedMnCount / 10); int nAbsDeleteReq = std::max(Params().GetConsensus().nGovernanceMinQuorum, (2 *...

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

I think Splawik said some things without clarifying what those things were. The calculation I gave above is correct and there is a sweet spot (balance) somewhere around 400 Evonodes where both Regular nodes and Evo nodes get the same ROI, however, what QE said was, Now, think about it for a...

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

Because it was going to be 50% rewards goto to regular MN and 50% goto HCMN, if HCMN also get paid once every cycle as a regular MN, then only 37.5% is required to goto to HCMN. 50% - (50%/4) = 37.5% This reward will then form a balance of about 430 nodes for HCMN and 1733 Regular nodes...

    Miner reallocation2 / DAO refill

Either way, the money is going to be spent, either you get something for it, or you don't. You can't sit there and say that we are not getting anything for the funds spent in the DAO. We have DCG delivering 2 releases this year and mobile wallets and working on Platform and we have incubator...

    Miner reallocation2 / DAO refill

What harm could it do? At least we have a chance of getting something back with that Dash spent. When miners spend it to pay for rent, hardware, electricity and labour it gives nothing back to the network, remember, we already are as secure as we possibly can be.

How to create a no fuss Evo node in v19

Evo nodes aka High Performance nodes https://www.dash.org/hpmn-faq/ are Masternodes that will be required to run Platform services in v20 onwards, slated for release in December 2023*. This node type requires the collateralisation of 4000 Dash. During v19 the network will be in a transitory...

    v19.2.0 Release Announcement

I really like the idea of using Evo Platform as a place where we can discuss proposals, it seems to make the most sense to me, also this is a feature we could add to mnowatch, but we can't yet agree on how to ensure the spammers are kept in check. I have asked the three wise guys to post their...

    v19.2.0 Release Announcement

Whatever dude, you over-state the importance of that website. Evonodes are prefectly capable of voting through the core wallet, or perhaps even DMT, only the lazys and stupids still use DC.

    Multiplexing masternodes on single VPS

Vultr is still very good and I believe some new plans from Hetzner are good too. All my nodes are mulitplexed and I am finding good uptime and easier to manage them which is a blessing for me as my time is invaluable.

    v19.2.0 Release Announcement

No that doesn't scale, what scales is everyone check the website for releases and keeps informed and does the needful, Rango is clearly preoccupied with non-dash related things and that's his choice, it means that his commitments to Dash will falter and people will leave his service for ones...

    Multiplexing masternodes on single VPS

Sure there is some additional risk of outage impacting several nodes, but this reduces maintainence tasks for the multi-MNO and reduces cost for such individuals. Choose a good hosting service that is reliable to avoid downtime.

    v19.2.0 Release Announcement

A lot to unpack here, it seems the PoSe score is based on the number of nodes in total, not just activated. https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/master/src/evo/deterministicmns.cpp#L318-L324 Evonodes are getting banned for bad behaviour. The reason the latest report from mnowatch did not show...

    v19.2.0 Release Announcement

Why should it fall upon DCG to write a special invitation to third parties like DC? After all, we upgraded as required simply by checking in on the project once every couple of months, is that too much to ask when your business literally relies on the Dash network? I'm sorry, but there is no...

MNOwatch is fully supporting evo nodes, https://mnowatch.org/dash-stats/ https://mnowatch.org/leaderboard/ You can vote from the leaderboard simply by clicking on the cell corresponding to your vote and pasting it in the core wallet console. v19.2.0 Release Announcement

Thanks for the post, @qwizzie I have relayed the version bit issue to DCG, numerous reports so far, myself included and the spork setting to DCG. I will report back any findings. We are still waiting on a Evo node rego, I am expecting one today since a MNO decollateralised 4 nodes yesterday...
