    General Security .....>

Based on that text alone, I would also not use them. No mention of salting. Physical security and electronic security need to be in step, else each is without value. The password you use is then used to secure your key, is ridiculous, and then the password is only checked by the client. The...

*teehee* Well, it's not quite like that. But the fractions of coins will just lay around dormant for the lifetime of the pool.

It's possible you may have triggered one of the DoS features. Had you had a quick succession of failed shares just prior to the unavailability?

    Missing DRK from http://www.drkpool.com/

Ouch, that doesn't sound good at all. Because the balance decreased there's two plausible explanations. Either the balance was partially unconfirmed and the blocks associated with the unconfirmed portion were orphaned. Or, there's been a database rollback to a point where the funds were not...

    IP Ban?

This likely happened because you're attempting to mine an X11 coin using the Scrypt algorithm. The shares you were submitting to the pool were malformed and rejected, a high rejection rate will typically trigger DoS mitigation controls and result in your IP address receiving a temporary ban. You...

    MPOS DarkcoinTalk's Official Pool Thread!

Hi Shrike, It's caused by mis-configured miners, typically non x11 ASICs being pointed at the pool. I'm sampling traffic during the attacks so that we can develop some DoS protection for this specific kind of attack, without occurring unacceptable additional load for the DoS protection itself...

    MPOS DarkcoinTalk.org Pool?

Block finding seems to oscillate occasionally, if you take a look at the graphs on the Pool -- http://mining.darkcointalk.org/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks -- You can see that a huge peek is normally followed by a rapid find. It's infuriating when we're on the peek, but earnings...

Hi Kumatora, You can choose to offset the transaction fee to something you're comfortable with by increasing your withdrawal threshold. For example, if you're comfortable with a transaction fee of 0.001 per DRK, then increase your automated payout threshold to 10 DRK. Just a thought.

    MPOS DarkcoinTalk's Official Pool Thread!

Hi Jay_UK, My understanding, is that block erupters do not come in X11 flavours so if you're pointing Bitcoin miners at a Darkcoin pool, you'll just get rejections because you're processing shares using the wrong cryptographic algorithms. Using these block erupters against the pool is actually...
