We don't need the inflation. Bitcoin, Dash and similar cryptocurrencies are valuable exactly because they are engineered to be deflationary. Also, the amount of coins that are burned is negligible in relation to the amount that is created in the budget.

IOTA uses the Tangle algorithm which is fairly new and not yet tested extensively. So it may have no issues, but it may have some serious ones that will become apparent in the future. Nobody knows yet, really.

Even in Proof of stake system, the node must do the work to add all the transactions to the block and add the block to the blockchain. What happens when we get to 500 MB blocks that require a lot of bandwidth and processing power to process?

The biggest problem that I see with Proof of stake is that's it's not tested and understood enough. Also, when the network becomes big enough, stake in itself will not be a guarantee that the node can handle the work that is needed. I much more like the Proof of service that MNO network in Dash...

Interesting idea. I would actually support this. It could yield interesting results and it will tell us if this information should be kept public, or maybe it is something that we should work to obscure from malicious individuals in the future.
