    Pre-Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

Ok so I signed up and just tried a local integration. The person who signs up first is the account "owner". Only 1 person can be the owner, and they can assign Admins and Agents and the owner account can be changed https://www.livechatinc.com/kb/changing-the-owner/. Everyone (owner, admins...

    Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

Sounds like Evan supports it from your text, not sure why you would interpret that as the devs not wanting to do it and having to do it yourself.

    Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

"he only way I see my project can become a reality is if the MN's vote yes to it. If there is no proposal then it just wouldn't happen" what makes you think that? Did you propose this anyone in the team or any devs to see if they wanted to add it, without you needing to make an MN proposal?

    Pre-Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

Hi - sorry, you didn't really answer my question (or it's not clear to me anyway). Who is the account holder with LiveChat inc - you, or someone else?

    Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

In your proposal can you clarify, who would be the account holder with LiveChat Inc.? In basic terms, who signs up and owns the login.

    Pre-Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

Sure no problem... My understanding is we are talking about someone signing up to https://www.livechatinc.com/ and paying for that subscription and Dash devs integrate that to dash.org landing page. That account holder will have the ultimate control of who is chatting with dash.org visitors...

    Pre-Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

The control is really whoever had the login to LiveChat Inc right, https://www.livechatinc.com/, outside of dash.org operators removing the chat from the page? How would you see that side of it working?

    Pre-Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

Me too, but if the proposer is the one controlling it and access to the info and no one else, that can change pretty easy. Not accusing them of anything (obviously as i don't know them) just saying it's centralized control over something really key / valuable with where it's going to be located...

    Pre-Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

The primary issue for me is not the cost or that there would be a live chat on dash.org. It's that that facility will be controlled by yourself as an anonymous person who first appeared in the Dash community less than 2 weeks ago. Imagine if you raised this proposal with PayPal - you would...

Dash Core Team Accountability and Lack of Communication

Agree with that. The key thing for me about Dash's gov system is basically decentralization. If you "follow the money", Dash is the only crypto that doesn't centralize funding, e.g. controlling donations, premine, dev-tax, whatever. Devs in Dash have to win funding through performance each...

    Pre-Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

Main issue for me is like I said giving individual users (some of whom we know, some of whom we won't) a direct line to intercept visitors to dash.org and speak with them. Malicious actors could do all kinds of things including scamming users of funds e.g. user: I can't access my funds dash...

    Pre-Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

Ok thanks, so you will be the person controlling who has direct access to dash.org visitors and reading all the transcripts. Problem is, you are a new account less than a month old and completely anonymous. And alarm bells already went off for me already when rather than just post your...

    Pre-Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

Hi - thanks, read it now. My point above was just that it's potentially an attack vector having a 3rd party (DashChat) access to the dash.org homepage to engage users directly. You say "our agents will be able to answer basic tech questions unless they are qualified to answer more detailed...

Broke first MN adding a second and push script

Lol. yep sorry, this wasn't meant for you, i posted in the wrong thread. long day...I will delete that one and post in the right thread.

    Pre-Proposal: ''Dash Chat''

the proposal doc needs a Google login and then ask permission from you, which means you get to see the users here's emails...., why is that necessary just to share a proposal? haven't read it, but my initial concern from reading here would be - enabling a 3rd party to control a live chat...

    We need Merchants USING Dash!

I think reducing the need for fiat conversion is the key.

    We need Merchants USING Dash!

"All you have to do is be available." that's pretty vague, can you be more specific? and any thoughts within the context of Evolution? which pretty sure is going to change the landscape when it comes to availability of crypto payments for every-day users.

12.1 Testnet Testing Phase Two Ignition

hey @camosoul which version was that, did it include setting up a MySQL instance? (because that's gone now)

12.1 Testnet Testing Phase Two Ignition

on the governance changes in 12.1, the advanced functions are there, we're just not using the advanced features yet. is more like foundational changes that needed to be done ready for Evolution. there's a lot of improvements outside of just governance in 12.1 though

    Evo question

I guess they could do it with private messages. there's nothing in the system to distinguish 'verified' users or not. i guess someone could make an app for it but that would need custom data which would come later
