    Development Updates - July 7th

Good stuff. I knew it was going to be rare, but nice to see some numbers. Just to be clear this was not a major concern of mine, but somebody has to play devil's advocate . Mind posting this over on bitcointalk as well. Might head off some of the FUD we are bound to get as...

    Development Updates - July 7th

I as posted earlier, I think that this is great work and a big improvement even over the denominated change idea discussed on bitcointalk months ago. However allow me to play devil's advotcate here... The most obvious knock on this solution is that all Darksend+ has done is make it...

    Development Updates - July 7th

Awesome Job Evan! The new charts and the explanation also should be in the first post of bitcointalk. However before that, if possible, you need to fix the upper part of the first chart as the change adds up to 130DRK rather than 120DRK. That and the fixes mentioned above. Also this is an...

    RC3 Soft Fork

I really think this is much more of a case of ignorance or laziness rather than maliciousness. If 51% of the network really disliked MN payments to the point of purposely mining the wrong blockchain then we would have heard from them before the previous two hard forks. It was a ninja-spork and...

Corrupt Masternode Walet after RC3 soft fork

My point was only that the way you present yourself matters. Given the tone and hysteria of the post (not to mention it was in the wrong forum) it had little chance of getting a pleasant response. And yes, in any community, there are large number in it for the money. To use this as a drawback...

Corrupt Masternode Walet after RC3 soft fork

So what would you have us do? The reason why you got a harsh response was because you jumped to blaming the coin against all odds and refused to consider any other sources of error. There is a right way and wrong way to ask for help. Saying "your coin is broken" and bashing is not the correct...

Corrupt Masternode Walet after RC3 soft fork

yidakee had a good suggestion. Plus in your reply you implied you had unposted information. Let's see it all -- I think that gives you the best chance.

Corrupt Masternode Walet after RC3 soft fork

You are the one with the lost coins. You should post everything you have because even if it is not me somebody else may come along and help. Can't figure why you wouldn't do this.

Corrupt Masternode Walet after RC3 soft fork

Then by all means go ahead.

Corrupt Masternode Walet after RC3 soft fork

This is what happens when you make hysterical posts in the wrong thread claiming that the client that everybody is using is broken -- not to mention you have provided almost no proof that any of this happened and your conclusion of "it is darkcoind" ignores many other more likely possibilities.

Corrupt Masternode Walet after RC3 soft fork

Not really, I consider it a bigger fail in logic to consider the 1 exception to the rule rather than consider the other hundreds of clients. Given the fact of the percentages, it is much much more likely that some sort of download or hardware problem on your end that corrupted the wallet than...

Corrupt Masternode Walet after RC3 soft fork

You are the only one with this issue. Nobody else has reported anything. Rather than blame DRK and call it broken go back and try to figure out where YOU differed from others and fix the problem. It is very hard to imagine that the coin is broken as you imply.

    RC3 Soft Fork

Nice!! Hey Evan, can we get a title and first post update over at bitcointalk? Pretty please. Thanks  Also, do we know which of the major pools have updated? I am assuming a notification went out via the mailing list...

    RC3 Relaunch Strategy and Testing

As I understand it masternodes will be paid. Furthermore, the network will be checked and bad/forged blocks will be flagged, BUT the network will not reject these blocks so long as "enforcing" is set to off. This means that this will be a soft fork. The disadvantage is that pools that don't...

    6/20 RC3 Post-mortem

Thanks for the detailed response. I misinterpreted your earlier responses as "well let's do the same thing again but get it right this time". I am very happy to see that improvements are already being discussed.

    6/20 RC3 Post-mortem

Well is it about testcases -- or testnet not being sufficient to serve as a testbed for mainnet? The first time the fork failed a much larger effort was made on testnet (more testcases, purposely trying to break it, etc.). In a sense that effort paid off because the cause of the issue this time...

Sounds like an excellent idea. Anybody know the difficulties or the downsides of this?

RC3: Hard Fork on June 20th!

Evan, is there any way you could update the first post on bitcointalk with this info (and links) as well as temporarily change the thread title name to mention the hard fork? I think everybody involved with DRK wants this to be as smooth as possible (considering the last hard fork) and judging...

v0.10.9.x Help test RC2 forking issues

As an investor and someone that doesn't have enough time to do much more than make posts complaining about X or Y  -- I want to say thank you Flare for your time, effort, and hard work. Also, @ Evan... a lot of people really don't like when their baby is poked at, but your responsiveness...
