Keep in mind that if you have the private key, you almost certainly have the coins no matter what happens to the software on your computer. You might try with a different wallet, one that does not require you to run the dash daemon, a lighter version. You might try the new Jaxx wallet. A Chrome...

A few days back, around August 15, the dash.org website and its forum were not responding, at least not from South America. This was the second time in about a month. Is there a hosting issue or a network issue?

From what I remember seeing on Youtbe, I believe Dash Drive will help with the function of mapping a person's unique username to a user's public key addresses to receive payments. Perhaps it will have some other purpose(s). Is there any official documentation?

I am on a trip and don't have a Dash wallet installed here. I hope someone else can jump in here and help you out. In crypto wallets that I have used, you can set a password for each private key that is stored in the software. For all of my wallets that I put in use, I print a paper copy first...

Try creating an address or key. I am just guessing you that you cannot "encrypt the wallet" until a private key is generated and stored.

Is there a private key already generated or imported?
