Regarding #2, Mr. Spread of Spreadcoin infamy supposedly coded into his masternode system a means to identify and score masternodes based upon response time. I don't know if it was working properly, but you guys may want to check out his code for some ideas.

Let's say I manage to purchase enough Darkcoin for 200 masternodes. I obviously know my masternode's IPs. Using your methodology, I then DDOS all the other masternodes so that the network only utilizes my 200 masternodes. Theoretically, I can then unmask Darksend transactions, yes?

Ah. Yes, I agree that Spreadcoin's masternodes and IX are absolutely based upon Darkcoin. I thought the masternodes were going to use Darkcoin code and was surprised to see Mr. Spread rewrote it from scratch. I didn't take what Mr. Spread said here...

While the gorilla was meant in light-hearted jest, as people are still getting upset over it, I've gone ahead and removed it.

Everyone has contacted me privately. I haven't reached the 20 if anyone is still interested, however. We've managed to create 441 test Masternodes thus far and everything is working perfectly :cool: Just testnet though so hopefully I don't jinx it with my enthusiasm and everything explodes...

Over 400 test masternodes are setup and we're now successfully receiving payments :cool:

Spreadcoin was built upon Darkcoin code and the developer has just released a new masternode system onto Testnet today. We'd love to have experienced masternode owners kick the tires and break stuff so I sought and received permission to post this thread. It is EASY to create a Spreadcoin...

I was led to believe that the Spreadcoin masternodes would be based upon Darkcoin masternodes. Looks like he rewrote it from scratch though. Sorry for the misinformation.
