Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

For most people this is a pointless distinction (although it definitely shouldn't be hidden). For example, most people, no matter how smart or cautious, don't worry about the security of their local bank branch (trustless MN setup provider) when they open their account. They're only concerned...

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

I feel like a lot of technicals are being thrown around without any real reason. Why would we want to reduce replication of Platform's largest overhead (mass storage)? To reduce costs and/or increase performance. The thing is, holding more collateral does not increase performance. Increased...

[dashninja.pl] Dash Masternode Ninja - Free Masternode Monitoring

So, I don't know who all is aware of the freenode IRC drama (I'm certainly not up to speed on both sides of the situation myself). Bottom line is though, the DashNinja bot didn't manage to arrive when the network switched over. Given I have extensive experience with eggdrop, I'm offering to help...

    v14.0 Testing

Agreed. This isn't a new issue. My primary concern with it is, I think most would expect IS transactions to show up in this instance. I suppose this is a lot less of an issue because of our plans to extensively use DAPI, but still noteworthy and a potential design concern.

    v12.3 Testing

Updated my dedicated tMN. Looking good so far! Very exciting! Will continue to bring more testnet nodes online and do additional tests as I have time. :)

Lack of electronic gift card options

Pretty surprising to me that nobody has any comments regarding this! Interestingly, eGifter recently added a Walmart gift card option. Maybe that means they're finally working on finding new gift card partners? They've also now been accepting Litecoin and Ethereum for about a month. When I talk...

Lack of electronic gift card options

Seems like our only decent options for electronic gift cards are Amazon (via Bitcart, 15% off), eGifter, or Gyft. I consider these types of services extremely important for us while we're in the transition towards mainstream adoption. The latter 2 require using an exchange. Wouldn't be a big...

    v12.2 Testing

Have quite a bit floating around between various testing wallets, but more couldn't hurt! :) yTdZSgnVivk3FEsKweBBtZaJKmK4q2M8Qk

    v12.2 Testing

@flare Hate to keep bugging you, but https://test.faucet.dash.org/ is returning "Cannot seem to connect at the moment, please come back later!".

    v12.2 Testing

Had a IS fail to lock a little while ago for the first time since we started testing this branch Status: 2/unconfirmed (InstantSend verification failed), broadcast through 14 nodes Running v0.12.2.0-8591448. @flare Any estimate on when https://test.explorer.dash.org/ will be back up? Edit...

    v12.2 Testing

I suppose you could do something along the lines of doing a fresh clone of both branches and then creating a patch set to update your old tree, but I question how much time this could save given how many files have changed. $ diff -ur dash dash-v0.12.2.x/|grep -c +++ 260 This error means you...

    v12.2 Testing

Sounds like you're probably fine, but to be 100% sure just "grep branch ~/.dashcore/sentinel/.git/config" :) I do have 1 wallet mixing on testnet right now, but it's nearing completion. I will bring a few more online soon. We should all be doing as much experimentation as possible IMO. @flare I...

    v12.2 Testing

Yes. For sentinel you should be using "-b core-v0.12.2.x" (not sure why the "core-" is in there).

    v12.2 Testing

Just use -b to specify the branch (eg, "git clone -b v0.12.2.x https://github.com/dashpay/dash.git").
