V12 Testing Thread

A new feature in this version that automatically disables DS to let users send "No Preference" transactions, when you click on "Select All" on the Coin Control:

If we send IX. And then restart wallet -> this transaction display as normal, non IX.
So we need check IX status again after restart wallet.

i gotta say the mixing isnt going as smoothly as i hoped it would be with this new version 12.02. I'm not sure thats due to not many people mixing right,
or the number of active masternodes (although 58/60 masternodes should be enough ?) or this version. All i see is a lot of "Mixing in progress..." messages
but too few actual mixing going on. Dont get me wrong, it does some mixing but i have the feeling it could go a lot faster.
 
Please update -- v0.12.0.2 (same version number, it's just a slight change)

v0.12.0.2 definitely solved ANY differences to the masternode list on the network. From what I've seen so far we have an incredibly stable version of the masternode protocol now (the broadcast/pinging/propagation logic specifically).

Next in testing (on my side):
- Testing decentralized enforcement of masternode payments (it should work now unless the implementation has some remaining bugs)

Changes:
- Proto bump
- This enforces the minMasternodeProtocol value by cleaning out the masternode list
- Changes in enforcement strategy

Try the version above, that should work better. I think it was related to the protocol not being bumped. If it's still an issue there might be some bugs still.
 
This version seems better... mixing from 2 wallets, each getting "Darksend Denominate" transactions approx every 5 mins

Edit: make that every 3 or 4 mins :smile:

yep, with latest version turbo-mode darksend mixing has been activated again :grin:
(to be on the safe side i deleted the peers.dat & mncache.dat before starting the wallets)
Only limitation now is the mining block speed .. which will also be the case on mainnet
so no problem.

Remove it if you get "insane fee" error or stuck on incorrect "make collaterals" (working on it). Otherwise leave it alone and don't touch anything :grin:

There is nothing changed, we just need more MNs on latest version 70079 for IX to work - only 11 is available now which is not enough.

UdjinM6 - I've a question that I meant to ask many versions ago but kept forgetting: While mixing DS, the coins go into "Pending"... so the coins don't show in the "Available" and not on Coin Control... Where are the coins hiding? I guess this is a silly question but the inquirer mind wants to know. Thanks. :grin:
 
I just tried darksending / instantX'ing Sub Ether, but I get an error of an insanely high cost, so it won't let me do it. There is no way to say, yes, I'll pay the insanely high cost??

Oh, bummer, I guess there are still only 11 masternodes running, so my instant X won't work anyway. I reduced the amount, which had less fees :) Still, I did get immediate 11 approvals out of 20 so that means, the masternodes that are there are working ;)
