ROCKET INTEGRATION TECHNOLOGY SDN BHD via Rocketpay is committed to increase the public awareness on Blockchain which will be necessary for online businesses in the future.
The Director of Rocket Integration Technology, Amzar Mat Aroh, stated that the Blockchain technology is internationally common and widely used. Therefore, Malaysia should not be left behind especially when it comes to technology development.
“Blockchain is a new technology and even the government is encouraging the public to explore it because offers numerous benefits especially for online business owners. Since we have the experience and expertise on Blockchain, we take this as a responsibility by developing a platform and providing consultations to individuals who are interested in this field” said Amzar. Rocketpay began its journey in December 2017 after Rocket Integration Technology Sdn Bhd, a Bumiputera owned company, received a fund amounting RM1.2 million from a Blockchain related funder. He said that since the public awareness on Blockchain is relatively low, the company will perform their best to create widespread awareness on this new technology. “People will usually relate Blockchain to Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency.
The public perception on Blockchain is limited. Therefore, many are unaware of the wide benefits and opportunities provided by Blockchain which can be utilized based on the creativity of business owners” he said. Apart from offering support and consultations, Rocketpay will also provide an event space to online business owners to conduct activities related to their business. “Business owners can use our event space to conduct activities like seminars, meetings, and tutorials for free starting from January to July 2018. This facility is not limited to Blockchain business owners only. Instead, it is available for use to any kind of business available in the market, as long as it does not go against the law” said Amzar. Amzar added that their effort is to encourage business owners to become independent and minimize the need to rely on financial institutions and government subsidy. “We will provide assistance by giving guidelines to business owners on how to move forward especially when it is Blockchain related. The company’s mission for 2018 is to increase the public awareness on Blockchain technology” he said.
