You got it - testnet is actually completely separate blockchain, the coins will never have any value.

And yes, you need to change back your darkcoin.conf for mainnet - but i would keep the instances in separate folders anyway (to dangerous to accidentically confuse tDRK and DRK)

Testnet is a separate blockchain, with distinct coins (tDRK). These coins have no value and their only purpose is for testing. You can join the current testnet by downloading one of the most recent RC4 binaries, and putting a "testnet=1" line in the darkcoin.conf. You can also use the normal miners to mine testnet coins, or join a testnet pool.

Cannot cash my coins out of the http://ec2-54-91-161-78.compute-1.amazonaws.com/ pool.
When entering pin to cash out - error saying "cannot send email to this address"
Now my account is locked. Could someone with back end access reset and email me my new pin and fix the email unlock issue.

Yep, mainnet is older, but testnet has seen more different CheckBlock() implementations and hard forks during its lifespan.

To test run a fresh copy of 0.9.12.0 against mainnet and see if it is capable to parse the mainnet blockchain...

Some mistake using dump and import private key.
