Since I've been involved in Dash I've heard a lot of criticisms of the Masternode Network - and those criticisms have become louder since the recent price rise. So I thought I'd write an article to address them:

Great article Eric.

Another response that had crossed my mind, relative to the "Masternodes artificially suppress Dash’s money supply" argument is, "Yes, and this encourages SAVING!"

Get it? Masternode operators may also be seeking to SAVE DASH as units of wealth! Who knows? Maybe DASH will appreciate from the resultant scarcity.

This is a totally foreign idea to the 0% interest/Keynesian crowd who seem increasingly desperate for sources of debt.

You forgot to say, when a MN is sold, it might actually be transferred rather than sold and abandoned.. that is to say, the MN stays online and only the ownership changes.

Not exactly. There will be at least new masternode outpoint, new signing (1000DASH) private key and probably new mnprivkey, so mn will have to go down for at least 15 blocks before it can be started again and it will start in the end of a payment queue.

Well the masternode network is atleast a nice step forward, although not perfect
