Hey Flare.. I would like to start with 1 MN with you. Please PM.
Is this service still be offered? Have interest in it for a number of MN's if so.
Yep, it's still offered, $9 or 1.7DRK/month
Flare comes highly recommended !
I am with him since 6 month, and super happy ever after !!
Thanks. If I can understand everything I might be interested in 10 of them. I've been mining and accumulating since day one, but have not kept up to date on all aspects over time.
I went through the tutorials to set this up yourself, but alas do not have the time or energy anymore for something like that having closed a sizeable BTC farm after running that for over a year.
From what I gather here:
1. need to retain 1000 DASH in your wallet per node?
2. the host will set up and host everything for 5 DASH per month or equivalent USD of 9 per node?
3. how is this paid and calculated?
4. security aspect is where I am lacking in understanding and technical detail
a) a key is presented to the host to activate the nodes?
b) the nodes point to my wallet where the 1000 DASH reside and can only operate against that?
c) payments are to my wallet address once the nodes are operational irrespective of when the payouts are to occur?
d) if for any reason the host ceases operation and shuts down nothing actually occurs other than when payout time is to occur, it still comes to my wallet address?
Is this the gist of it or have I got it completely wrong?
e) wallet does not need to be open and running 24/7 or it does?
f) what are the current payout expectations?
Does this all need to be monitored from my side i.e like with remote hosting of physical hardware does one need to check in or keep an eye on the operation in case of "something"? If so what would that something be, server down, something stuck or broken or other?
No, you keep the DASH in your wallet, you just need to split them to 1000.00DASH denominations.
Correct, at current rate that's 1.7DASH per month and node.
It is paid each month or half year upfront.
Yes, the so called masternodeprivkey is used to sign the messages which control the node.
Correct, on start command your wallet generates a network message for the node, which is signed with the masternodeprivkey and your coins key - so noone beside you can use your coins and/or node.
Correct, it may take up to 3-4 days until the first payment occurs (2400 nodes / 574 blocks) - after that the payments wil reoccur each ~2400 blocks
If the node is down when it is due for payment, the payment will be skipped. This is part of the proof of service scheme.
You got it
Wallet just needs to start the nodes, after that the host takes over.
The formula is like
Daily coin supply (2500DASH) / current no. of masternodes (2400) * current masternode payout rate (40%) == 0.42DASH/day and node
You can lookup this rate in realtime on https://dashninja.pl/blocks.html
I am monitoring the nodes and will refund any downtime with extended runtime. Nodes usually do not need to be restarted on minor updates, major updates (protocolversion changes) need interaction from the customer.
Thanks very much, a few more questions if I may:
1. What does it mean to split the DASH up in the wallet? Does it mean make 10 address or wallets that each contain 1000 DASH and each node points to that? Right now I just have one wallet with all the coins in them.
2. How do we proceed with this?
3. If buy 6 months up front at the end of the 6 months should I no longer wish to continue, how is all of this cancelled?
You can either use the wallet you are using now and create 10 new addresses in it or (to keep things separate and not to interfer with daily payment business) create a second dedicated wallet for that. Matter of personal taste and up to your choice
Best we switch to PM
If you buy 6 months upfront you will receive a 10% discount, but no refund in case you leave earlier. You can spend your 10000 DASH any time you want, the nodes will just stop operating in that case.
Highly recomend Flare's service. dotdash
Just completed setting up 10 nodes with Flare. Pleasantly surprised how simple and straightforward the setup is and how professional Flare went about it all. Can also recommend this operation if anyone is contemplating it.
flare Can you check your PMs when you get the chance?
This grandfather thread needs a bump: I just joined ranks with those who can recommend flare's Masternode service: He is fast, reliable and highly professional. He got my Masternodes ready in less than a day and the startup was a breeze. Now they're purring like kittens!
Thank you for this amazing service, flare!
Yes, Flare offers an outstanding service.
Is this still active? i m interested pm me if you still provide this service
