The Darkcoin network will be forking on the 20th to support masternode
payments. This release fixes client forking issues (from RC2), ghost
masternodes, increases the masternode payment to 20% and improves the
communication protocol for masternode and supports the hot/cold setup
for masternode operators (allowing your money to not be risked at
all.).

Thanks to Flare, President Chaeplin, Fernando, Eltito, Propulsion,
Jimbit and everyone else who helped out! We had really impressive turn
out for testing day in and day out to help us ensure this release is
high quality.

****** ALL USERS: PLEASE UPDATE TO 9.10.0 OR 10.10.0 *******

Versions have been updated: 9.10.x and 10.10.x and will stay
consistent with each other to avoid confusion.

P2Pool Users:

Changes have not been merged into P2Pool yet to support RC3, however
the follow patch will work:

Repo: https://bitbucket.org/dstorm/p2pool-drk
Revert to commit: fb2c8ac939785cb0188b67b5a6d3e46a8e103ef2

Apply this patch:

In the file p2pool/data.py, on line 171 change "masternode_payout =
worker_payout / 10" to "masternode_payout = worker_payout / 5"

Thanks,

Great news and good job everyone!
Regarding the "supports the hot/cold setup for masternode operators". Where is the documentation on how to configure?

I have updated my 5 nodes.

We have 10 Masternodes at mainet.

Shocking .. I have expected at least 50 - 60 nodes up.

Give it some time, RC2 needed 24hours to gain 50% penetration of mainnet. And since protocol is incompatible, RC2 nodes are not able to connect to RC3 masternode network.

Great work Evan and the rest of the team!

So with the hot/cold wallet support will this allow me to now run two local wallet mastrnodes on the same PC where each local master node is pointing to a different EC2 remote server? The PC only has one external IP address.

Yes. It's correct, just the QT version string is not updated yet.
v0.9.4.13-1-gbfb4e53-beta
"version" : 91000,
"protocolversion" : 70018,
Does anyone know where this version string is defined?

Quick question. What about the multiple 1k config? I forget the name. Having 1 node with 2k doubling the vote count? Possible?

+1, wasnt that planned for the next release? that's more important than cold storage tbh :D
Isn't this debatable.. wouldn't that help concentrate/centralize the MN's... wouldn't it be better to have more smaller ones?

These are old RC2 masternodes desperately trying to connect - will get less as more RC2 nodes are updated.

dsee == "DarkSend Election Entry" message type

Well, no, because they're not mixing coins. It just saves multiple VPS and multiple local wallets.

My question seemed to have been missed so I'm reposting it below... If you need further clarification on what I'm asking just let me know. Thanks!

So with the hot/cold wallet support will this allow me to now run two local wallet masternodes on the same PC where each local master node is pointing to a different EC2 remote server? The PC only has one external IP address.
