Just to gauge the feel for this. We currently run a monthly crypto meetup with focus on DASH (in a local pub that accepts DASH as payment for beer) and it is becoming increasingly successful with more and more attending each month. We are planning to hold a Conference along the same lines at an extremely famous Sports centre in the South West of England. This will open up the possibilities of Crypto to a whole new audience that cannot get to provincial cities such as London.
In simple terms:
1. To attract an audience of around 300. The venue has capacity for more should we need it.
2. To utilise the available marketing tools of local TV/Radio to spread the message.
3. Have already asked if Ryan or other Senior member(s) of the DASH Core Team are available.
4. To spread the crypto message to an audience that may not otherwise be able to get involved.
5. Give every attendee a free DASH starter of £10 (about US$13)
5. Charge a nominal entrance fee. (Because of point 5 they will get back most of their ticket fee.) NB We need to charge so that we have a commitment from potential audience to attend.
6. Full accounts of income/ expenditure to be provided and open to inspection.
7. Any underspend/profit returned to the Treasury.
8. Live stream would be made available.
We would be asking for just 35 DASH including the refund of the proposal fee. The Treasury advance would be used for venue hire, marketing to including local TV/Radio, equipment and sundries. As mentioned at point 6 and 7 above, all spend will be accounted for and open to inspection along with underspend / profit being returned to the Treasury.
