It looks like I got one payout on mine as well... OK, I restarted with 10.08.11 and the masternode is reconnected, and seems to be working after -reindex.

Actually, after reindex I have no transactions :( I must have been on the wrong side of the fork
I have a spare computer now that I can run on test net to help out in any way I can.

Ok I'm starting to panic now. I updated darkcoind. It stopped updating so I reindexed, but now the balance is showing 0 :|

I have a backup of my wallet luckily but why would my balance suddenly disappear? Is it ok to load the backup wallet on a normal client? I haven't done it yet incase it shows zero.... then I may cry.

Has it finished syncing? Run darkcoind getinfo and check data with explorer.darkcoin.io. If it hasn't finished don't worry, your coins will be there when it does.

Thanks for the quick reply. No not done yet, it's still syncing. I shall be in the corner rocking back and forth while I wait....

edit: Woohoo, the 1000 is back! *wipes forehead*

Don't worry, your 1000 drk will be ok. You may have problems with payments received in a bad fork, but not with your 1000 drk. It can take time, the network is a mess. BTW, not sure if explorer.darkcoin.io is working properly, I see the same block for a log time.

Is there a way to force the windows wallet to reindex? I updated to the 10.8.11 client, but I'm stuck on 75125 as well...

Even is
open the qt wallent from a command prompt with the flag -reindex
Interesting... that seems to crash the wallet after startup... I'm going to try re-downloading it.

EDIT: Nope, neither a new version of 9.4.11 nor 10.8.11 will work. It starts up and appears to crash once it connects to the network. Do we have a known good node that I can try forcing it to connect to?

I was able to download 0.10.8.11 from darkcoin.io (even though the webpage says 0.10.8.8) and reindex up to block 75287. Looks like I was lucky enough to be seeded to a node on the good side of the fork. You can try forcing a connection to me (71.255.241.246) to see if it will sync up.

Things are definitely not happy out there. drkpool.com and darkpool.ip have been going up and down, the miners have been having trouble connecting, and when they are connected they can act a bit crazy at times.

On the plus side, I had no problem reconnecting the mining pool... so maybe that is something :)

EDIT: Thanks for the IP, it looks like the blocks are loading now

Is up, and no longer on the fork (was for a few hours during the emergency update affair).

There needs to be an official notification channel reserved for updates: forum announces don't cut it, and IRC is for chat, not announces. Maybe a dedicated twitter account (with no chatter noise and random news, only critical update notifications) or an email list with a similar "no noise" policy.
Also someone needs to keep the bitcointalk thread alive (update title, etc.), it's still a major hub.

Why not on the actual official website? some sorte of ticker with RSS feed people could just hook up to...
But seriously, this is like a bump in the road. Will blow over soon.

But I do agree though. Devs need a better line of communication with us. Though I cannot imagine how many hours of sleep they've actually the past weeks!

Nevertheless, IMHO it should be here, on this dedicated forum, as a big sticky with a link header in big red letters on main forum page, so anyone who is anyone within the DRK infrastructure knows exactly where to go for the most up-to-date info straight from the source.

Me myself have found it a bit stressful sometimes, referring to "most recent RC" only to find a newer one somewhere else.
All in all, I prefer things as they are. If they do it right, someone else can come do the final polishing and make-up

Let them boys do their thaaaang!

There is an official mailing list (http://goo.gl/mSYVhX), I do receive updates via that mailing list directly from Evan as a p2pool operator. The mails are only about forks and updates to the darkcoind daemon. Important to subscribe if you have service related darkcoin.

You run a masternode, write that. I don't think they'll be picky about it. It's about sending the information to whom may need it and that is also masternode operators. They should change the form though.

Don't you have masternodes?
I have been refreshing Kraken every 5 minutes exactly to get enough funds ASAP to Mintpal for another one

(I think the URL put me off somehow... just dropped in Masternode)
