The bigger issue remains in the fact that there are two big whales that didnt express themselves yet, masterblaster and blue.
The battle definitely is not over yet. Wait for the blue and the masterblaster.
Blue is a DCG proponent, but Masterblaster is not clear whether he is or he is not. (look at the NO vote of masterblaster at the DCG-Marketing-Dec-Feb proposal)
As predicted, the Blue whale cast his vote, in favor of DCG.

14 hours to go on the voting deadline, possibly a little premature for congratulations but here they are all the same, congratulations to the Dash marketing team! What marketing team? I'm talking about the dark side of marketing, the dirty tricks department used to squeeze out competition.

I've had a decade in crypto and I've seen them in action far too many times. They're how Blockstream took over Bitcoin, how many of its more liberal devs suddenly found their names being dragged through the mud, how we had a four year "debate" over changing a single character in the btc codebase, the one defining blocksize and they probably even had a hand in ostracising our own Christopher Carruthers from his position as a leading figure in the community. Remember who took over that role from him?

Let's leave aside the fisticuffs for a moment and see what's been accomplished here, what's been won by defunding Core. Are we getting a better development team? No, the general idea seems to be keeping the current devs with a new proposal for their own funding. As far as I know none of the development team have agreed to that, it doesn't look like they've even been asked and I wouldn't blame them if some decided to throw in the towel, many have been here even longer than I have and that feels like a looong time.

So have won any victories in development? No, chances are we've set in back by at least a couple of months due to the extra shit they now have to deal with and possibly set it back by several years if this ends in utter chaos.

How about the community, has it brought us all together and given us purpose? Hardly, it was an attempt to drive a wedge clean through the middle of it and I've no doubt that will continue indefinitely, several "leading figures" have shown their true colours through this farce and there will be at least a few more still playing possum. Thankfully we're diverse, many platforms, many groups, many languages and that's a very tough target for the dark side of marketing so just maybe this is a win, they've made their move and compromised many of their best pieces, if we stay aware it can be a win.

How about the business side, partnerships and integrations? This is bound to be a touchy subject because DCG has done pretty well here, 7x more merchants than BTC and a debit card in beta, it could probably be argued we're lacking in quantity but quality is top notch. So how will that play out from here, will some mystery team take over and do an outstanding job or have we thrown that away in exchange for an endless stream of tweets about nothing? Only time will tell.

How about our economy? Looks totally dismal doesn't it? But our economy has a trick up its sleeve, a little secret that's hidden in plain sight and anyone paying attention has already spotted it but our "friends" in the dark side of marketing haven't seen it yet... or maybe they have, Platform is closing in fast so maybe this is the last desperate attempt at a power grab before the chrysalis splits open...

How about price? GTFO.

It's sad to see such a delay in the development.
But it seems, that Platform is a really huge and complex software project.
From my personal experience I know, that such delays are very common and hard to avoid.
So I'm voting Yes. I would like the developers to continue, so that they can ship Platform very soon.

I hope that other MNOs will understand too, how important it is for Dash to support the DCG.

@stan.distortion I don't think development stops, DCG has surplus funds to eat into.

Not having alternatives to fall back on has always the been a problem for the way the treasury works i.e. there is little incentive for others to submit competing proposals.

I think DCG surplus funds is ment to compensate for a lower Dash price, it is not ment for no DCG compensation funding at all for the next 4 months.

I think that DCG surplus will go down a lot more quickly this way, specially if those no votes are not just being used as a way to signal disapproval of how Dash Newsroom was handled by DCG (leading to Dash Newsroom under-utilization), but are perhaps also being used as a way to signal disapproval with Dash current market position and price performance (something DCG has little control over).

If it is the last, then these no votes could stay with us a lot longer then people may think. It could possibly lead to an extended period of defunded DCG Compensation budget proposals. Which could lead to devs leaving DCG and ultimately having an impact on Dash development.

If Bitcoin is indeed entering a multi-year bear market and continues to drag altcoins with it, then this is not the time to force DCG to start eating its own compensation reserves, it is literally the worse time to do that.

Imo, Mark's exhaustive response was not the smartest of moves. There are very good reasons why, when questioned by police, you should always respond with, "no comment". The short answer is, the more you talk, the more you open yourself up to attack and abuse. Every detail can and will be used against you.

Mark has chosen to defend his reputation rather than do his work or change course. In doing so, the mere mention of these external parties damages the network. Even if Mark is 100% correct in his assertions, these external parties will not like their names mentioned at all. And yes, information that is shared privately or closely could very well fall under NDA even if it was not explicitly stated. Discretion is an essential and powerful quality.

Mark's response clearly demonstrates Mark's role as Trust Protector was in constant conflict with other duties. Going forward, I feel I could only support Mark as a Trust Protector or as a completely independent agent. You can't force one DFO to work with another.

Please don't open a new thread on this on the Forum, DCG should make the official announcement. This thread will remain open for discussion until
the official announcement.

I want to thank Ryan Taylor for his commitment and dedication over his years as acting CEO of Dash Core Group and i want to convey that i have a deep respect for Ryan Taylor for making this incredibly difficult decision in order to keep the DCG Compensation budget proposal funded and putting the best interest of the Dash network above himself.

With the resignation of Ryan Taylor as CEO of Dash Core Group and the subsequent operational knowledge and personal information about DCG inner workings flying out of the window this way, i just see a lot of turbulence and pressure on individual Dash Core Group members ahead, in a time that the focus should have been on getting Dash Platform out and Dash Core Group marketing under way.

I wish the Dash Core Group good luck in the times ahead.

With regards to Dash as a community, i just view this situation as a situation that has divided the Dash community and will continue to divide the Dash community. Ultimately i view this situation as a bad situation with a bad outcome.

I hope the Trust Protectors make it clear to Ryan that it would be good for him to remain at DCG, just not as CEO.

Perhaps now the network will consider mandatory CEO / President rotation for any DFO pulling 40% or more from the treasury. Presidential Rotation is part of the proposed Dash Network Constitution.

I never thought I would live to see the day! I am glad that Dash has proven itself to be a DAO and not just a DAO by name. I am really excited about the future, we have a lot of lost ground to recover!

Poor Dashunicorn,
You forgot the government's agents who reside permanently in Dash, and who are mandated to maintain and intensify Dash's decline and decadance.
These agents receive a lot of USD money from the government (and thus they own a lot of dash masternodes and dash votes), so they will never allow the dash community to build a real bulldozer......
As predicted. The pathetic DCG was saved by the government's agents, once again.
Scapegoating @babygiraffe was the pretext, in order to preserve the corrupted status quo.

Voting deadline is in 6.56 hours and the next super block will be in 3.30 days.

Voting deadline is in 0.0 minutes and the next super block will be in 3.03 days.

A diff of 806-427=379 net votes cast the last 6 hours in favor of the pathetic DCG.
477-301=176 NO votes switched to YES votes the last 6 hours. A typical agent behavior.
The pathetic DCG is saved, once again. The scapegoat was punished. Dash is doomed, once again.
You will fall below 100rank, in Coinmarketcap. You deserve it, for sure.
Death is your destiny and you bought it with your money.

Timocracy sucks...Government's agents suck....Vote the numbers, stupid!

If you knew a group, that would do a better job than DCG does, I would be glad to vote for it.
  1. No smart contracts for Dash. Is this ok for a decent crypto of 2022?
  2. After many months, and although the masternodes decided it, and although the code is already written by @Pasta, the 1 dash proposal fee feature is not implemented yet.
  3. When evo? ("Evoe" is the scream the Bacchae used to shout in order to call Dionysus.) Do you know how much money has been paid for the DASH Platform (Evolution) ? For how long? $13 million were paid only for the last 2.5 years! And evo is still asomatous. Give me the votes/money and the time, and I can built evo better and faster than "Pater Seraphicus" (you know who this Pater is!). " Pater Seraphicus - come forth! Come to reclaim the throne! I sing my song to Thee , O planetary soul, In rapture I shall burn, To worship the unknown". Pater Seraphicus and the DCG, they both suck!!!!!

Dont you wonder about all the above? DCG sucks.....

A Year in Crypto: Santiment’s 2021 Market Report - Santiment Community Insights

Devs, DeFi and Down the line
While it has little to no impact on short-term market trends, development activity is quite an underrated indicator of project success, as it demonstrates the team’s month-to-month commitment to creating a working product, polishing and upgrading its features, and staying true to the long-term roadmap. At Santiment, we track development data from 1000s of public github repositories, while excluding various ‘non-dev events’, like comments on commits, people following an issue, downloading releases etc. If such events weren’t excluded, some projects could show inflated development activity just by discussing what they are going to build without actually building it. With that it mind, below is a list of top 20 projects by aggregated development activity - based on their publicly available Github information - for the year 2021:
Top 20 projects by total development activity in 2021 (Source: Sanbase)

As evident, the top 3 projects - Cardano, Kusama and Polkadot are virtually neck and neck, followed by Ethereum at #4 and Gnosis at #5. For the first time on one of these end-of-year development reports, we also have an NFT-centric project in Flow to round out the top 10, highlighting the meteoric growth of the NFT sector in the last year. Outside of ‘pure’ development activity, we also track the amount of active contributors to any project’s Github repo, for broader insights about their ‘developer network’. Below are the industry leaders in the amount of active Github contributors over the last 12 months:
Top 20 projects by the average amount of Github contributors in 2021 (Source: Sanbase)

While the top positions remain unchanged, Cardano now towers above the rest, with an average of 53 daily contributors to their Github repo throughout the last year. The amount of active contributors also sees a few interesting changes within the top 10, which now includes the Trust Wallet Token and Filecoin, to name a few. The above list(s), however, look at the entire crypto landscape, meaning large projects with active developer communities are naturally going to dominate. As such, it’s also a good idea to zoom in on the particular segments of the crypto market and shine a light on the more ‘niche projects’ that invested heavily in their coding manpower in 2021.
With over $103bn locked in various DeFi protocols (+292.8% increase in 2021), decentralized finance remains one of the bedrocks of the crypto industry, acting as the primary hub for both large-scale innovation and mainstream adoption. And while competing narratives and new (actually old) industry trends took some of the spotlight away from DeFi in 2021, the sector has continued to make headway thanks to sidechains, bridges and layer2 solutions, evolving into a robust, multi-chain ecosystem that didn’t exist just a year prior. With that in mind, here are the top 20 DeFi-related projects that lead the way in development activity (based on public Github repository data) in 2021:
Top 20 DeFi projects by total development activity in 2021 (Source: Sanbase)

Interestingly enough, DeFiChain claims the top spot for the year, followed by Mdex and SifChain. Far less surprising is the rest of the list, populated by some of the year’s most utilized protocols, including Uniswap and its BSC counterpart PancakeSwap, Balancer, Yearn and Maker.

AND THE QUESTION IS...WHERE IS DashCoreGroup ON ALL THE ABOVE??????
AFTER BEING PAID $13 millions?

I see a number of masternodes have been knocked offline and I was wondering if there is any correlation to the way people voted.

@vazaki3 , of those 13 million, what percentage has Ryan pocketed approximately?

I'm talking about salary.

It seems that sails are being retracted, 30 MN have been "turned off" from the network.

We'll see how far we go. For those who still believe in Dash's future with a loaded gun, we may see some very good prices.

All the best

I don't think they were intentionally turned off, it was some kind of attack / high load. I noticed the high CPU load a couple of days ago.

We dont know.
DCG never submitted a report to http://dashwatch.org.
Additionaly and unfortunately, dashwatch has been completely postponed since Oct 2021.
Dash community certainly needs dashwatch's functionality, as long as transparency is crutial to Dash's survival.
DO NOT follow the hollow.

Updated the Thread headline. DCG has still not issued an official statement about Ryan Taylo'rs resignation as DCG CEO or DCG Board member.
