Good afternoon. Please tell me what rules I need to follow when I trust another programmer to set up a node for me. Which passwords can I give him, and which not? can he see my config file?

You don't give him any passwords.
He needs to provide you an IP address and operator publickey.
The rest you do on your local side Dashcore wallet or DashMasternodeTool if you use Hardware Wallet but there is also a way to use dashcore and hardware wallet without using additional software.

Yeah, use a hardware wallet and never hand over any part of the seed for your wallet, regardless of what they say or how helpful they appear.
