I voted for your proposal, I think we need to coordinate another one for either the silver or gold sponsor program?

We have over 7000 dash coming out in the next few days, a lot of that will be spent on obligations but we could easily meet your target (looks like it passed as of now) AND the target for getting the silver sponsor.

This would help us, help crypto, help anarchopulco, and help ancaps.

Cheers!
Well, we could possibly upgrade this package to make it a silver or gold tier and get all those goodies.

I am however plotting to make content, such as I made at Labitconf and seek to have DASH be an advertiser. I'll be making a submission for that soon as well. This would reach all the people that wanted to come to Anarchapulco and could not, as well as those at the conference that missed out on premium moments or the actual shooting of my interviews.

Any proposal needs 10% of available vote, which I think this one can get today (already at more than 80% of that mark), but the budget is quite full, so this one would need to surpass others that have a really big number of votes (more than 900). This budget cycle has 8022 DASH, you can see everything at a glance here:
http://ericsammons.com/dash-budget/
Colors are bit confusing because green doesn't mean it is getting paid, just that it has passed the minimum number of votes required. If you look at the last column, you can see that the two last green ones are not going to be funded because they exceed the 8022 DASH available. Your proposal will be in the same situation when it reaches the 10% threshold.
I corrected it so that green does mean that it is getting paid (it was previously green if "funded"). If you see it is still not displaying properly, let me know!

That is awesome, thanks! Now I think it is more clear :)

This won't be a Silver or Gold sponsorship in the end. It turned out to be a custom arrangement, which Jeff Berwick the organizer agreed to. There won't by any Dash actively involved community members aside from Juan at the conference to man the Dash booth and promote the project so not much point getting a booth there.

Dash will have a speaking slot at the conference. Juan will make a presentation there in the front of 500+ people which will be recorded and posted on his website. He will also give away some promo Dash materials like flyers and such.
That makes perfect sense, thanks!

Evan's Response on BCT:
Hello! The budget system was finalized and at the time these three proposals were not established (All three were submitted too late). Budgets must be submitted at least 24 hours before the budget system in finalized. This means they must be submitted 3 days before the budgets are paid out.

v12.1 Improvements:
- I am going to add some warnings to v12.1 when you add a proposal to let the proposer know they should move the budget proposal to the next month if they're within that finalization period.
- We also need to vote on if we want to support contracts in the new system, I'll put a proposal up before I begin work on that next week

Sorry for the confusion, but it's not a bug, everything is working great
So What Happened?
Super Block Payed out but some of the proposals that were voted in didn't get paid.

Anarchapulco - Not Paid 140 Dash
https://dashninja.pl/budgetdetails.html?budgetid=DASH-at-Anarchapulco

Core Team Extra - Not Paid 625 Dash
https://dashninja.pl/budgetdetails.html?budgetid=Core-Team-Xtra-Fixed

Wifi Portal - Not Paid 200 Dash
https://dashninja.pl/budgetdetails.html?budgetid=Wifi-Portal

Total Not Paid 965 DASH

---------------------------------------------------

These Were Paid:

Soda Machine Reiumbursement - Paid 100 Dash
https://dashninja.pl/budgetdetails.html?budgetid=soda-reimbursement

Satoshi Roundtable - Paid 717.700 Dash
https://dashninja.pl/budgetdetails.html?budgetid=satoshi-roundtable

Lamassu Integration - Paid 610.260 Dash
https://dashninja.pl/budgetdetails.html?budgetid=lamassu-integration

Dash.org - Paid 2100 Dash
https://dashninja.pl/budgetdetails.html?budgetid=dash-org

Public Awareness - Paid 2,156 Dash
https://dashninja.pl/budgetdetails.html?budgetid=public-awareness

Core Team - Paid 1,176 Dash
https://dashninja.pl/budgetdetails.html?budgetid=core-team

Total Paid 6859.96 Dash
Total Not Paid 965 Dash
Total That should be paid with these budgets is 7824.96
(I'm not sure if that is over the limit?)

Looks like we only had 7400 Dash this month, so all three of those proposals not paid screwed each other?

Hello everyone! So as you can see above, we move a bit too late, and glad that some growth has come out of this as far as letting others know what the deadlines are. All is good!

Minotaur and the DASH foundation have funded the speech anyways, so I have the money and we have a full go ahead.

Here's some screen pics.

Onwards!

The proposal was funded by the Dash blockchain actually just that because of a late submission the funds were provided from the Public Awareness budget which received the funds yesterday as expected. https://www.dashwhale.org/p/public-awareness

So the proposal was still funded by the Dash decentralized budget system just that indirectly, from the Public Awareness proposal budget .

Oh that's great to hear! It makes for a much better story.

Thank you for the correction.

Hey folk, How are we doing with DASH mobile wallets? Any created and or supported by known devs? Any that support instantx?

Got 4 retail stores here that are accepting bitcoin ( we set them up) and I want to get them on DASH too before the conference.

Juan,
The mobile wallets can only send with InstantX. If you want a store to detect the InstantX, that is still getting worked on. The Dash N Drink source that can detect an InstantX is still getting a few final bugs worked out and once that is complete it is possible to use that system for Instantx receiving with a small computer Raspberry PI or any desktop. The merchant can also use a desktop wallet and verify the instantX by looking at the incoming transaction. This isn't an easy solution yet....I want this to get better.

I would also expect mobile wallets to get instantX receive working soon, but I don't have a definite time frame. All the wallets can receive the funds, they just won't tell you if it was an instantx or not.

Like thedashguy said, these are the two most stable wallets. (With the android version you may need to go into settings toggle off and on instantx for it to show up when sending a payment. The apple wallet requires a computer to install, they are working on getting it in the app store soon)
android: play store or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hashengineering.darkcoin.wallet&hl=en
iOS:https://dashtalk.org/threads/iphone-dashwallet-release.7123/

The fulltimegeek android wallet is a redesign with simpler interface. I still don't think it is ready for primetime, but it is close and more features are added frequently.

if the merchants use a full node DASH client, will that recognize the incoming idex?

Is there a DASH lite client? thought I heard of an electrum version?

Think the mobile wallets will recognize idex txs before the 17th?

Thank you for the links! I'll mention that it is beta or alpha? software and put links for people to follow. Would be great to get atleast 1 solid android wallet that I can pimp out during the speech.

What's the best place for noobies to learn about DASH?

Ty, key point. So this is from the DASH core team?
The Official Wiki Links:
(you find anything you need here)
https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/display/DOC/Mobile Wallets

android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hashengineering.darkcoin.wallet&hl=en
is a 3rd party, but yes that is the official android wallet

iphone (official Dash Wallet / inhouse Dev)
https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=16646233
we got refused by the iTunes store for now, so this has to be pulled 'manually' (without iTunes store) but is legit and no need to crack phone
(official Apple way)

Howdy! Indeed it is official.

I also have a working template for the speech. I'm not sure I can do all these topics justice in 20 minutes, but I'll try! I'm also very much open to shaping the content of my speech and presentation before we get there, so here it is. Its basically comparing DASH to Bitcoin and perhaps tangentially or directly to the USD.

Instant X VS RBF and zero confirmations

Darksend VS wallet based privacy on bitcoin

DASH Governance VS no governance system, or externally funded development

Masternodes VS charity nodes.

Mining x11 vs Bitcoin mining.

Granted the above are very complex topics, but I do pride my self on being to explain complex topics. Never the less, it might be too much to cover and might go over some people's heads. So feel free to help me filter the most important topics to cover.

More coming soon.

Hi Juan,

You can start by explaining the block reward. 100% transaction security (BTC) vs. 45% Security - 45% Greatly enhanced functionality (masternodes) - 10% discretionary budget. From that basis, you can explain the other points.
