Distributed Autonomous Organizations! Social Networking! Segregated Witness!
Cryptocurrency is one of technology's new darlings. Yet, cryptocurrency is subject to the same laws of nature as each and every advance before it. One of those laws involves the old “tortoise and the hare” debate.

Gameshow hallucinations aside, in information technology/networking we often reference the OSI model seen here:
Sheesh, what a mess huh? Disregarding the complexity of this model, suffice it to say that somewhere between the Presentation layer and the Application layer, another layer has been inserted by blockchain technology. This layer will become known as the Currency layer. Furthermore, the innovators at Dash- Digital Cash are leading the way on this, new, Currency layer, because they are the only ones approaching it as just that- a network layer.
The various hares out there may take different approaches, some may even gain adoption for any given purpose. We already see an environment littered with examples. Meanwhile, DASH stays the course.
DASH pursues the course of the tortoise, not the hare. DASH seeks to establish the Currency layer, and when it does, we will see the rise of the Currency layer's promises. Promises such as end user Distributed Autonomous Organizations (already infamously attempted by one of the hares), as well as other Applications we haven’t thought about yet. Many of these Applications will reach mainstream status, once DASH's Currency layer is fully developed.
Mainstream status will confer the downstream Applications, and they will come about organically, because they will sit on DASH’s Currency layer. Organic growth of these Applications will be the triumph of DASH's Currency layer.
By staying the Currency layer course, DASH takes a unique approach among the cryptocurrencies.
This tortoise will go all the way.
