Weekly meetups about cryptocurrency and Dash in Kiev and other cities of Ukraine. Key points: 3 months frequency of meetups : weekly price: 20 DASH ($1200 max) proof of work on blog, twitter events calendar and results on a website long-term commitment Progress: - first meetup announced - 20th of April at Hub 4.0 (Kiev) with Gesellberg Proposal. My actual proposal is related to further expansion of our community and bringing the awareness of Dash and upcoming Dash Evolution. In this case I'm planning to create meetups/events every week and rotate a theory with practice biweekly. For instance, one week I'll give a presentation about Dash, another week - a complete practice session for newcomers in our space on how to buy cryptocurrency, how to trade it, how to use different crypto wallets, how to make backups, how to find places that accept crypto and all of the other practical stuff that ordinary people may not figure out by themselves. Obviously a focus will be on Dash. I haven't seen anybody doing that (literally), so why not to incorporate this as a biweekly session. I've been actively using cryptocurrency for about 2 years now so I suppose I have enough experience to show such things to others. In this way, we are going to help people actually use cryptocurrency, and not just listen to an idea or new concept they may forget pretty soon. Location. All of this will be done in Kiev first, which is the capital of the largest country in Europe. We have quite big Blockchain-related community which is growing exponentially. For the last year I had a chance to meet with Vlad Zamfir (one of the leading Ethereum researchers and developers), Joseph Poon and Thaddeus Dryja (the guys who work on Lightning Network), Ariel Gabizon (one of the engineers at ZCash) and a lot more interesting individuals who changed me a lot. So for those who wasn’t sure of Ukrainian’s involvement in this space, believe me it is strong. In any case, I want to make a long-term commitment with Dash because I really adore this community and I believe this cryptocurrency will be the one that will go to the masses with the help of all of us at DashNation. Frequency of events: once a week. Long-term vision: start from Kiev, then move to other large cities in Ukraine, and then move to other countries. Verification: photos, blog posts and videos will be provided to verify my work. You can follow all of my history on medium, twitter. Events calendar: a website will be used to announce all of the events. Evaluation: surveys or feedback from attendees will be a method of evaluation of the work that was done. It also can be used for future improvements. Timing: April-June (3 months) in Ukraine because I have to graduate from university. Then if I will create enough momentum and do certain things right, I want to do it internationally. Price: 20 DASH/month, 5 DASH reimbursement included (from the first month). The rise of Dash's price is phenomenal, hence I decided to create a budget allocation that a lot of you asked for. For those who don’t know yet one of the masternodes owner GuerraDiValute and me agreed to have a $1200/month limit for this proposal. In this case my allocation will look like this: Renting places for events - $400 Marketing cost - $500 Living cost - $300 Extra funds will be used in this way: Dash attributes (T-shirts, badges or stickers) - $200 Dash giveaway - $200 Beverages or some snacks for attendees - $150 The rest - donation to Dash network. I believe it deserves it. About me. My name is Dmitriy Baimuratov. I'm from Kiev, Ukraine. Currently I'm graduating university as a software engineer (3 months left) which is kind of cool. However I figured out that programming is not what I want to dedicate my life to. At the same time for the last 1.5 years I became involved with cryptocurrencies and truly enjoy public speaking. So the combination of two are a sweet spot for me. I always wanted to be a part of some really amazing project. However it was a struggle to find something that has a potential to get crypto to the masses, until I saw Dash Evolution in action by Amanda B Johnson. I knew about Dash for some time but it’s that visual representation of a platform that made me convinced that I want to be a part of this journey 100%. I don’t want to write a ton of info about me and how I came up to Dash, you can just read my latest blog post right here.
