Yes, and I apologize. I have a Dash wallet that I must have setup a password on. It doesn't have a lot of coin in it, about $500. So, if I lose it, not a big deal.
Anyway, I want to attempt to crack it, and am looking for something to pull the hash from the dat file so I can hashcat it with my password lists. I looked at JtR, but the bitcoin procedure does not work on this Dash wallet.
Anyone had success with JtR, or another app to get the hash?
** I've read the other posts and do understand that my money might be lost for good. I do have a strong machine with a video card that lets me hashcat at 65K hashes/sec. I know I did not have a long pass phrase. And, when my machine is idle, it is a waste not to try anyway. **
