I would say, right now IOTA's price is going up solely on their technical merits - or their promise of having them (Which seems to be mostly the case with Cardano).
Right now, IOTA seems difficult to use - I mean, man, have you tried their wallet? You have to choose a host from a list when you...
@rango Hey Rango, there seems to be some issue with the e-mail masternode notifications. It says the test notification is "Delivery: Ok", but i'm not receiving any e-mail. I have, of course, double checked the e-mail for typos :) There was a guy on the Dashcentral chat that seemed to have the...
This proposal is still getting funded, right? I see the net votes have dropped below "passed" again, but only after the deadline passed. The total budget payout has been reduced though as if this proposal was rejected, i assume this is a bug
I agree, we should not become stubborn, thinking "Our way is the best way". More than likely, with the thousands of crypto projects, some developers will find a better, cheaper and more user friendly way of becoming a usable cryptocurrency. I do not believe our roadmap should be set in stone...
I gotta admit, i'm on deep water here ;) Heh i'm somehow finding myself defending a cryptocurrency i started reading into yesterday.
If an attack on the network is as easy you state, why hasn't it been done yet? Also he said that even if the attack was successful, the attacker would only be...
I found this really good interview where the founder explains why that wouldn't be a problem. I'm trying to wrap my head around it, but it's really hard without a background in software ;) Here's the interview:

@Antti Kaikkonen As i understand it the coordinator is temporary. It is being used only in the start, while the network is small and vulnerable to attack. But yeah i get what you mean. I'm just thinking, if the technology behind the tangle works - then it is by far a superior system to...
I mean, surely, if people were losing their coins all the time due to updates, IOTA wouldn't be number 8 in marketcap? The prospect of someone being able to issue new IOTA's at will during updates is certainly a deal breaker for sure.
But yeah if coin creation could be handled by miners...
@GrandMasterDash I thought a bit more about it yesterday. One of the big issues i see with IOTA is that all the coins have been created. The wealth, it seems, is very concentrated at a few addresses compared to other coins, like Dash. Some inflation is a good thing, especially if the coin is...
I'd like to talk a bit about IOTA vs Dash. Seems to me the IOTA system of sending transactions via tangle is superior to Dash, in that the transactions are free and with practically infinite scalability.
Because with IOTA the transactions are confirming each other, there is essentially no...
Dashcentral.org can set notifications up in a lot of different ways, email, push notifications and so on. Really awesome site go check it out :)
oh yeah and the post is from march this year, you're looking at when Dash4ever joined the forum, i made the same mistake when i joined the forum ;)
Also, if you're running vultr's 512 mb RAM vps, you need to upgrade to at least 1 GB ram (2 GB to be safe). My masternode is using 707 mb of ram right now. If your vps runs out of ram it will crash.
You should also setup a SWAP partition, i won't go into detail here 'cause i'm certain someone...
Your miner is way to hot, check the temperature. When the temperature goes to around 41 the miner will throttle down (Decrease PLL) because it needs to stay under 41. You need to move your miner to a cooler place or one with better airflow :)
I am by no means learned in either cryptography or quantum computing for that matter. I'm simply curious whether a total encryption security failure would mean the collapse of cryptocurrencies and/or the traditional banking system?
Of course no one can predict these things, but if someone with...
I'll give it a shot :)
I assume you've got your masternode up and running since you're at this stage. Log in to your server using whichever SSH client you used when setting it up.
Go to dashcentral and log in. Then you go "my account>account settings". Go to the link...
Hi,
I'm sorry if this is not the right place to post this.
I have a Peruvian friend who would like to invest up to 5000 dollars in Dash, what would be the easiest/cheapest way for her to do so? A few days for money transfer is not an issue and i'm sure she wouldn't mind submitting some form of...
