    Introducing Our New Team Members

Awesome news! I haven't been active in the forums for a while, but I still support what DASH is trying to do. Love the growth that is happening.

A word about the Foundation, it's mission and directors

I think the Foundation is doing a good job overall. There is only so much community volunteers can do as far as development, advertising/image, legal, and so on. The foundation is needed to advance the coin and they seem to be actively working on becoming "more transparent", like with the...

Why do Wallets have to look so satoshi?

I think you are meaning the basic "Bitcoin core" design that has been around forever. Most cryptocurrency wallets follow the same pattern of Overview - Send - Receive - Transactions all in relatively the same place. The reason for this, from my understanding, is that the graphic front end for...

    PoSvc Implimentation Discussion...

Here's my 2 cents: Coming from an IT/networking background I see your ideas involving using nginx and preparing for the future possibility of IPv6 prevalence as creative and doable. Months ago Evan talked about having MNs route traffic between other MNs to create a network similar in goals to...

I did a little bit of research. If you look at Vertoe's BTC Addy, it suddenly gained a lot of Bitcoin (something around 42BTC or more if I remember correctly) on March 10, 2015. It is not conclusive proof, but at this point it is more likely than not that he dumped somewhere between 40k-50k of...

    Where is my transaction?

I have seen McAfee and Norton's firewalls malfunction and cause things not to properly connect, so that could have been the issue (unless you didn't uninstall firewalls). Uninstalling NICs may have been the fix if Darkcoin was trying to connect to the wrong network devixe. I'm not sure how it...

    Where is my transaction?

So the only thing I can think of is firewall restrictions, especially if you use windows. When starting Darkcoin, it asks if it can access public, home, and/or work networks. You should be able to go to the control panel in windows and check the firewall programs and the rules associated to them.

Good points. In the end, only the involved parties should be handling this and vertoe hasn't come back in defense of why he left or his specific complaints publicly so speculation isn't going to help anyone. Thanks for the perspective tungfa

I completely agree this is underway. I personally trust the team and how they are handling this. I just felt that the misconceptions needed to be aired out in public because I have personally interested with multiple people who still feel like Evan and others on the core team (foundation board)...

It isn't that simple tungfa. Vertoe was a respected Dev for DRK and there are indications people have picked up on that things transpired between the team and him that caused him.to leave. I personally believe he got fed up with the disagreements he had with the decisions being made and left...

I felt the same way. I have talked to foundation members who assured me that Evan not asking him to be involved in the dash discussion was unintentional and they have apologized on the forums. They hate that he is gone, but at the same time he didn't stick around long enough to give his side of...

Whenever we refer to the "foundation making the decision" we are generally talking about the following members of the foundation: https://www.darkcoinfoundation.org/about/team/ The decision making process the last few months may not have been exclusively those people on the page, but they are...

Give this whole process a few weeks. Legal things need to play out before we jump to conclusions. I would love for you to elaborate specifically on what the harm is naming the instant finance solution Digital Cash or DASH if we are able to obtain a trademark and other legal items? I know there...

I will be utterly shocked if the foundation didn't see this and already consider legal concerns (and deal with them appropriately). It sounds like they have started trademark talks and other legal moves so we will have to wait and see.

Give them some time to come together and announce the full plans. The dev team is distributed around the world and can't always meet to discuss changes or future plans all at the same time. There is a lot to figure out with the changes lately so I think we should be patient.

It is infeasible for MN owners to decide this. I would say at least 40% of Masternodes are managed by a few individuals (5-10) so it isn't like 2000 votes being cast. Also, there isn't a communication system to inform MN owners of a vote or change or whatever, so it would take months to organize...

Tao, my main issue is that you are very quick to push PR for DASH before it is OFFICIAL. This isn't necessarily about whether DASH is a good name, it is about timing. I would hate to see you jump the gun on PR for a name that may not be. There would be pushback from those outside the community...

    v0.11.1 - InstantX Release

I wouldn't worry too much about it. It seems like someone who knows enough to muddle around in the code for defects, but just wants to take down other coins (except the ones they invested in) rather than help the cryptocurrency community as a whole.

I figured out my issue. My masternodeprivkey changed. Here are the steps to fix: 1. Open wallet with your 1,000 DRK 2. Unlock wallet 3. Open Debug Console -> enter "masternode genkey" 4. Copy that key into your darkcoin.conf and/or masternode.conf files on BOTH your 1000 DRK wallet and your...

We want to accept darkcoin payments, how to?

From what I understand CoinPayments is one of the options that takes the least amount of information from you when signing up and their fees are fair. Obviously the cheapest way to accept DRK on your site is setting up your own wallet or building your own app that takes DRK. Good luck...
