    Cheapest, Easiest Exchange/Service For GBP

Having said that, the low hanging fruit seems to be GBP to Crypto. So, a good place to start and expand out from, maybe.

    Cheapest, Easiest Exchange/Service For GBP

Well, first I want to make it clear that while I am a big fan of Dash, I would also look at such a project as an investment opportunity and, as such, would certainly want to include at least bitcoin, ETH and ETC, XMR, XRP, and probably others. Which would be a direct exchange with GBP (and maybe...

WTB Laptop from US-only website mailed to Europe

Hi. I'd be interested to know how this went. I've been signed up to the US Lenovo sales newsletter since I lived and worked in Texas six years ago. Wish I'd bought one then while I was over there. Currently have a HP Pavillion with i7 2670QM. Actually not a bad laptop, especially since the...

We should change voting from Masternodes to EVERYONE

Depends what one's definition of fair is. Is any type of uneven distribution of wealth fair? Are some types of uneven distribution of wealth fair and others not? I would agree that effort should be rewarded in some cases. But not others. Let's consider Bob and Bill and Ben. Bill has little...

We should change voting from Masternodes to EVERYONE

My point being that any group will be incentivised to make choices that improve their own situation, whether or not it improves the situation of those outside the group. And many improvements are partly or wholly defined/by nature relative change rather than absolute, i.e. by increasing the...

We should change voting from Masternodes to EVERYONE

Good for what and who? They will be incentivised to make decisions that keep or make themselves richer than everyone else. This is human nature. Does the current Dash system prevent that from happening both now and in the future?

Universal Dividend and Web of Trust for Dashcoin

As I already mentioned, why not, then, go fully "just" and have time-limited money that cannot be accumulated as it ceases to exist after a certain amount of time. Say daily allowance with life of just that day.
  13. T

Universal Dividend and Web of Trust for Dashcoin

It's certainly another model. I'm not pushing this idea, but why not go for the further democratisation of a currency that expires? So, we all get a (EDIT: equal) daily allowance that expires after, or time-limited to one day. This would eliminate the possibility of accumulating wealth by...

We should change voting from Masternodes to EVERYONE

Of course they would. They will be uber-riche compared to everyone else, and motivated to keep that wealth. And even accumulate more, as this would take more Dash out of circulation and thereby further increase the value of their holdings. I wonder and fear if it this will not produce a feedback...

We should change voting from Masternodes to EVERYONE

The point is, it's still a group with it's own special interests. The terms "group" and "special interests" lose their meaning and their threat only when the group is everybody.

We should change voting from Masternodes to EVERYONE

Like I said, maybe 7 billion; or rather, everyone. Depends how decentralised you want the system to be. So far, I haven't heard anything except the usual self interest used as a justification to limit decentralisation.

Potential Issues with Masternodes (1000 Dash requirement)

Not necessarily true, i'm afraid. I suspect many are here to take advantage of the speculative opportunity that crypto was and still is. Or rather, there is a portion of those here that seek to take advantage of that opportunity potentially irrespective of whether crypto will change the world...

Potential Issues with Masternodes (1000 Dash requirement)

That might be why they were created in the network structure, and what they do, but not necessarily why people operate them. It is clearly possible that some people (especially, but not limited to, those who bought enough Dash early enough to make the investment barrier lower) did so only as a...

Dash air drop - best strategy ever

That's assuming that the 5% signup will drive merchant adoption to the level you think will achieve the hockey stick takeoff. It could do. But what if it doesn't? What if all it does it create a temporary bubble in the Dash price that then collapses when people realise that their Dash is of no...

Dash air drop - best strategy ever

So, what's the Merchant to Customer ratio? Which is the smaller target? What are the gains on one side that are produced by gains on the other? I'll again ask the question on this thread that I've asked on others: has anyone run Montecarlo simulations to determine which side one gets the most...

I don't like Mugwamp much. But am open to selecting from proposals for the standard 5 Dash proposal fee. ;) I don't need to figure it out. I lived it! Born in the late 60's in the UK, I had to learn both systems almost simultaneously. I can assure you, the decimal system was easier to learn...

Hi. Second turn at the "concerned troll" chopping block - see my first post in introduce yourself forum to understand why I say that. Again, I have done a quick search for this subject, but not found a thread that applies. If it has already been broached, feel free to point me there. So, I...

How masternode payments might cause a bubble

Depends when you invested. And if Dash is also going up wrt fiat/gold/bread/whatever. I'd happily invest in an MNO right now (for return AND other interests in seeing DASH succeed) if 80K USD wasn't such a big portion of my savings. Seriously looking into MNshares, though.
  32. T

How masternode payments might cause a bubble

Agree with the first part. Not so much with the second. But maybe the MNO bubble already happened and burst. Growth seems more stable, now, after the (post MNO bubble?) pullback.

How masternode payments might cause a bubble

I see your point, I think. i.e. maybe that bubble already burst? And hopefully none of the same ilk to follow. In which case, let's get moving on Evolution! Why isn't the whole of the Treasury being spent on Evolution development, and/or preparing for it's release? Even if by only building a...

Potential Issues with Masternodes (1000 Dash requirement)

Thanks, xjones, for the xref. Just what I am worried about. I am not of the opinion that it is inevitable, however. Rather, that it is a risk to be considered calmly, and discussed civilly. Neither of which, unfortunately, seems to come easily either here, or in any other forum anywhere on the...

    Evolution Marketing Campaign

There is Dash to promote. I, for one, think that planning ahead, maybe including building a war chest as suggested, is not automatically a frivolous waste of Dash. Why so touchy about this? We're here to get involved in the community, aren't we? So why complain when people do just that?

An 18T economy, ie. Dash market cap, would lead to Dash reaching 1M USD(if all dash mined, greater if not) , and a MN needing 1B USD. Just some numbers to think about. Sent from my GEM-701L using Tapatalk
